Oh, you would never live in a cave. No internet. Which you seem to think you could never live without. So why so snarky when people are trying to help you?

Dude, seriously? You’re tiptoeing around some pretty heavy sacrilege in this thread. In the words of Bishop Barron, cut it out. I’m not really sure what you’re hoping to gain by flaunting your sin like this.

Because It’s a dumb advice. I need internet, and not only to watch pornography. I also don’t care enough to make a big text explaning (with details) why I need this.

So why are you here if everyone is giving you dumb advice? No matter what people said, you had an answer for it. Were you thinking people were going to somehow tell you it was okay to give up? You already made up your mind, so why continue this and waste everyone’s time?

How does your addiction affect you in normal daily life? Does it prevent you from being productive? If there was no God telling you not to do it, would it still consume you and have negative impacts on non spiritual aspects of your life? If so, it is truly something that is an addiction. If you would not struggle so much if you were “allowed” to do it, there is something else that is wrong and it is your religious convictions which are making this an issue and making it cause you so much pain. This is a super common issue and there is nothing wrong with you if you continue to fall. It’s common, it’s natural to have those urges as long as you don’t let them rule your life and obsess with them. I am sure that this discouragement it causes is is making it more difficult to overcome this and probably makes it easier to give in. Maybe you need to adopt a different perspective of the sin and what it means when you fall into it. Celebrate the victories, even Celebrate the falls if they help you grow in humility. And just keep going. That’s the true test. Whether or not you can continue to fight even after moments of weakness. Now that takes real strength. Almost everyone falls into those sins at some point because it’s part of human nature - we are sexual beings

People living in the world often need internet to work or do their school work. Sure, if you lived off the grid I’m a cave you wouldn’t need internet because you wouldn’t need to work in the real world or go to school.

The problem is that you get depressed every time you commit the acts. Maybe change your mindset and stop obsessing about stopping and stop beating yourself up when you fall. It only makes it worse. I have found it’s so much easier to stop and so much better for my mental health when I just stop focusing on it and stop caring. It’s almost like binge eating for me. The more I focus on restricting, the more likely I am to binge. The more you focus on this the worse it will be if you fall. It’s different for everyone though. Just live and focus on bettering yourself in other ways and other aspects of your spiritual life. Maybe if you are happier you won’t feel the need to turn to these habits as often. And if you do? So be it, just keep moving forward. It’s hard during quarantine, but do try to find little things to lift yourself up. Develop some hobbies, find something you are interested in learning more about, etc etc.
