knee surgery for the fifth (5th) time on Monday, July 14, I humble ask that you pray for me (and that I will not need more surgery in the future, which would require a miracle.)

I am sorry if this seems self serving or conceited. I also ask that you pray that I may be granted the grace of humility.

From today’s Liturgy of the Hours:

Short reading Hebrews 13:20 - 21 ©

I pray that the God of peace, who brought our Lord Jesus back from the dead to become the great Shepherd of the sheep by the blood that sealed an eternal covenant, may make you ready to do his will in any kind of good action; and turn us all into whatever is acceptable to himself through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever, Amen.

Praying for your successful surgery.

You’re as bad as I am, rpp! 😛 I, too, usually denigrate myself when I ask for prayer on my own behalf.

I’ll say to you now what I don’t seem to be able to say to myself: it is never self-serving nor conceited to ask for prayer. We should be honored as brothers and sisters in Christ to pray for one another … and the corollary is that we should never feel ashamed to request prayer when we need it.

So, it is my honor to pray for you now: for a successful surgery with as little stress as possible, wisdom and skill for your medical team, and a quick recovery for you. I’ll certainly also pray that God will allow this surgery to be a permanent solution to your problem.

As for your last request, the humble tone of your prayer request assures me that you’re already in good hands on that account 👍

Not at all. We’re allowed to pray for ourselves. It’s just more…effective, maybe is the word?..when we pray for others, that’s all.

Dear Lord, please grant this child of Yours the healing she needs, the strength to endure, and the consolation of Your limitless love. Amen.:gopray:

Father, we beg of you to remove the
stress that is being felt by this upcoming surgery.
Guide the doctors to provide the best treatment
known to man. Then Father, please reach
in and heal this knee. Remove the need for further
surgery. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord!
AMEN

Father of healing and Christian humility, look with immense compassion upon rpp, granting a merciful healing grace that will obviate the need for future painful surgery. Graciously provide doctors, nurses and technicians who reflect Your divine love to the world around them. O Lord, we know that You will grant humility each time it is requested, as it imitates Christ, our Redeemer. Please join our prayers for healing and humility with those of the Angels and Saints to form an unending petition for Heavenly Graces upon rpp. We ask this through the same Jesus Christ, Your Son, Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, One God for ever and ever. Amen! Alleluia!

You are in my prayers for total healing because Jesus Christ is the Perfect Physician!

Praying for your intentions:

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

God Bless

rpp hoping the surgery went well. Praying for your full and speedy recovery and hoping for you, with all your responsibilities at home, that you have an angel to help you recover:)

Dear Lord, please, I pray, let this be a successful surgery. If it takes a miracle Lord than we ask for one. Please grant us the humility needed to accept your holy will, you who are all giving and generosity. Amen
