Hi, LA,
I agree with your 2nd paragraph entirely. I think it’s good to do what we do here in the non-Catholic forum by exchanging our beliefs, doctrines and dogmas. Each of us do need to listen to the Holy Spirit through the Word of God to understand the Truth. We will all stand before God and be “judged” according to our deeds both good and bad. Thank God, He sent His Son to be our final atonement so that we can inherit eternal life with Him.
The average Jane and Joe Christian spend time in prayer and devotion as well as worship in a way that, for many of us, they have grown up with. We depend and have depended on the leaders in those churches to give us sound Biblical teaching. Unfortunately, this is not a perfect world and won’t be until Jesus comes back as He promised. Some of us, as we grow in our relationship with Christ may search to find the place and Truth that He knows is best for our continued growth. We live in a world that has been fragmented from sin and, all of us should take a cue from the Catholic Church to look at each other as “brethren” - brothers and sisters in Christ. If we keep our eyes on Christ and our ears to the Holy Spirit we’ll understand the Truth and be strong against our foes.
God bless everyone! Stay strong in our Lord Jesus Christ!
Rita
