Hi guys! I’m about less than a week from my hysterectomy, and I’m starting to get a little nervous. This morning I woke up thinking about what I will be doing this coming Monday and my stomach started twisting into knots! I’ve been trying to distract myself by getting things ready around the house and prepping the family.

I hope that things go well. The past couple of Gospels these few Sundays have been a tremendous help, especially with Matthew’s Sermon on the Mount and the Beatitudes.

I dunno…just wanted to vent a little and ask again for your prayers…God Bless.:o
Waiting can be difficult…keeping you in prayer…

You will be in my prayers tonight and onward. I will put a special note in for you at tomorrow’s morning Mass during special intentions.

Tonks, forgive me for missing this thread from the beginning!

Blessed Lord in Heaven, You conceived of Tonks40 from all eternity as an irreplaceable part of Your Divine plan for man. Graciously remove all fear and anxiety as she awaits Your consolation. Merciful Father, even the cells of our bodies obey Your commands. We beseech You to send Heavenly healing upon her, that her hope in You is complete and that Your plan of salvation will be fulfilled. Incline Your ear to hear the intercession of Your Blessed Son, who sits at Your right hand, as He seeks Heavenly healing on Tonks40’s behalf. May the prayers of the Saints rise to Your Heavenly Throne as does the incense from the altars of the world, becoming perfect in Your presence and calling Divine Grace down upon her. We ask this through Christ, our Lord, Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, One God for ever and ever. Amen. Alleluia!

Praying that the Lord will guide the surgeon’s hands and all who assist as you have your surgery today. Lots of prayers going up for you today, Tonks…quit smoking thread, as well. God bless you!

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Tonks, God bless you today and throughout your recovery. Sending up prayers for you, your surgical team, and your nurses! Please let us know how things go for you!

Tonks, you and your family will be among those I offer up in my prayers. May you have a swift recovery. Never forget that He is watching over you.
Don’t know where I found – or who said – this, but I say it to myself virtually every day:
“Courage doesn’t always roar. Sometimes, courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, ‘I will try again tomorrow.’”

Hi everyone!

Once again, thank you for all your prayers and thoughts! I made it home from the hospital yesterday, and I seem to be doing ok. The surgery went very well - my doctor said there were no complications and that it was in textbook-order. I’m able to move around a bit, though I’m still very sore.

I was blessed to receive the Eucharist on Tuesday morning, a sign of comfort for me knowing that my Lord was with me and comes to me. I have no doubt that your prayers are the reason that things have been going so well for me during and after the surgery!

The plan is to continue to rest and heal, doing a little bit more each day until I’m fully recovered. I have a couple of follow-up appointments with my doctor in which we’ll be discussing the pathology reports on the organs that were taken out - I hope that this surgery has taken care of my problem.

God bless all of you here - our Lord God is sooo good!

Hi Tonks! Glad to hear that everything went well. I’ll be praying for a speedy recovery…

Praise God to highest Heaven! Amen. Alleluia! You are added to my prayer litany.

Christ’s peace.

Woo hoo! I was thinking about you and wondering how things went. I hope the path report comes back clean for you. I hope your recovery goes smoothly. Take it easy and many prayers!

I feel like I recommend this website so often, but I’ll do it again. If you need any online help, or a great post-hyst community, try out www.hystersisters.com It was such a great comfort to me after my surgery, knowing there were other women out there with questions, concerns, and just general support. They have an active gyn cancer forum too, which is really helpful.

Thanks for the resource, aurora77! Go figure, being the internet nut that I am, I did sign up on the site a couple of weeks prior to the surgery, and yes, they are a tremendous help in answering questions that I had, and addressing things that I may not have even thought of! If you look, you’ll see my username on the forum! LOL

Thanks for you prayers again, and God Bless!

How cool! I didn’t find it until after my surgery. I was floored by how many of us there were out there. God bless you, too!

Glad to hear that all is going as well as can be expected Tonks - Deo Gratias!

Keep us posted and prayers for a speedy and complete recovery.

I saw my doctor today to get my staples removed from my surgery. He told me that he looked at my pathology reports today and that it concluded there was no additional invasive pre-cancers in the parts they removed from me. IOW - looks like I’ve been given the ALL CLEAR! Praise God! :extrahappy:

Thank you, thank you, thank you all for your prayers from the bottom of my heart! Our Lord’s will be done - His glory lives on forever!!

Tonks,
That is fantastic news!! We’ve been praying for this. I am so happy for you and your family.
