May God’s peace, love, mercy be with you all!
God is more powerful than all sin, evil and hell combined. By God’s grace, we are able to overcome our sinfulness and live a new life- a life of love, a life of holiness to which all of us are called. God has given us the means to do this, we just have to take advantage of it, stay close to Him and follow His most Holy Will.
When you fall into sin, never despair or give up, because that is what the evil one wants you to do so he has hold of your soul, instead immediately ask God for forgiveness for having offended Him Whom we love, Who loves us and is all good and deserving of all our love. Ask Him to help you for by yourself you can do nothing and then immediately make a resolution to do better next time, to sin no more by the help of His grace.
Go to confession frequently (weekly or every two weeks) for not only does your soul gets a “good scrubbing” with Our Good Lord Jesus’ Most Precious Blood, He also infuses you with all the graces needed to overcome sin.
Attend holy mass and receive Holy Communion daily as much as possible for you receive Jesus- God’s very own Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity. You receive God Himself, Who is utmost Purity, the very source of Holiness.
Every time you wake up tell God that you love Him and offer, surrender everything to Him in union with His suffering on the Cross, through Our Blessed Mother, in that way everything that you do is sanctified by Him and so your daily, ordinary life becomes an unceasing act of offering, prayer, adoration to God.
Do daily spiritual reading especially before going to bed in that way your last thought will be about God and His love. Read the inspiring writings of the saints and the sacred Scripture.
Do a daily examination of conscience.
Avoid near occasions of sin such as sexually provocative/profane shows, movies, music etc. This also includes places and people that causes you to sin or are bad influence/company,
Consecrate yourself to Our Blessed Mother who is the perfect example of purity and holiness for she will never fail to protect and help you. Keeping her company daily by praying the rosary is very helpful and also very pleasing to her.
When you feel the urge to sin, give in to the temptation or to just totally give up, immediately turn to Our Good Lord Jesus and Our Blessed Mother and ask for their help. They are always there to help you. The angels, saints and poor souls in purgatory are always there to help us too.
And no matter what, always stay faithful to Jesus and Our Blessed Mother. Never look back but always look forward, constantly gazing at Our Good Lord Jesus on the Cross. And even if you sometimes don’t feel like doing the things that I have mentioned, that it might seem hopeless, never give up, stay faithful and do them anyway and constantly trust in God…then He will do the rest.
Let us follow what Our Good Lord Jesus has told the Apostles in the Garden of Gethsemani:
“Pray that you will not fall into temptation”
Let us continuously pray that with the Most Precious Blood of Jesus and under the mantle of Our Blessed Mother to help us reject satan, sin, vices, attachments, addictions and to protect us from all evil, seen and unseen, from their snares, lies, malice, deceits, harm, violence, temptations, their pomps and their works.
God bless! Have a joyful and grace filled Easter!
Blessed be Jesus and Mary!
