deb1:
YOu are going to have to explain sloo…oowly to me.

We have all agreed that it is grace that first bring us to God. Correct? But does this mean that you see faith as not being an act? Do you believe that we have the choice to accept or reject God’s grace?
I believe salvation and true saving Faith are given as gifts to the believer.
EPH 2:8-9 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9 not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.
If we have the ability to choose Gods salvation we boast about our choice! “I was able to choose GOD.” “I Chose Jesus” “I am more spiritual than those that are not Christians” “I was able to judge the right way” "I figured it out by myself’ etc…
Paul says we dont understand and None seek God. If none seek God, who can say that they did seek and chose correctly?
Rom 3:9
What then? **Are we better ** than they? Not at all; for we have already charged that both
Jews and Greeks are all under sin; 10 as it is written, “THERE IS NONE RIGHTEOUS, NOT EVEN ONE; 11 THERE IS
NONE WHO UNDERSTANDS,
THERE IS NONE WHO SEEKS FOR GOD; 12 ALL HAVE TURNED ASIDE, TOGETHER THEY HAVE BECOME USELESS; THERE IS
NONE WHO DOES GOOD, THERE IS
NOT EVEN ONE.”
Eph 2:1-7 "1 And you were
dead in your trespasses and sins, " Can those that were dead(spiritually) make correct spiritual judgements?
Rom 5:6
“For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.” Can spiritually helpless people make correct spiritual choices?
Rom 5:10
“For if while **we were enemies ** we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.”
Enemies of God dont choose to love God on their own without Gods call.
Eph 2:1-7 “1 And you were
dead in your trespasses and sins, 2 in which you formerly walked … 3 Among them **we too all ** formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and
were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest.”
Do children of wrath choose to love God? Can the Dead choose to do anything?
Phil 1:29
"For to you it has been
granted for Christ’s sake, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake, " Our belief has been granted!
1 Cor. 1:23-24
“but we preach Christ crucified, to Jews a stumbling block and to Gentiles foolishness,
but to those who are the called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.”
Why is Christ wisdom to some, but foolishness to others? The effective call of God! That is why this chapter will end with, "But by
His doing you are in Christ Jesus,
who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption, so that, just as it is written, “Let him who boasts, boast in the Lord.” “Who became to us.” To who? The elect! Not those who were wiser, or smarter, or more spiritually sensitive! To God’s elect!
John 5:37 "“All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out.”
John 5:44 "No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up on the last day. 45 "It is written in the prophets, `AND THEY SHALL ALL BE TAUGHT OF GOD.’ Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father, comes to Me.
- No one comes to the Son unless he is drawn by the Father
- All that are drawn have heard and learned from the Father
- Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father come to the Son
- All that the Father gives to the Son will come to the Son.
Do any who are drawn, hear and learn from the Father NOT come to JESUS? NO. Are any being drawn rejecting the Father? NO.
Colossians 3:12 “So, as those who have been
chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience;”
2 Thes. 2:13 God hath from the beginning **chosen ** you to salvation, through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth, whereunto he
called you by our gospel.
Rom 8:33
"Who can bring an accusation against God’s
elect? God is the One who justifies. "
John 15:16
“You did not choose Me, but I chose you. I appointed you that you should go out and produce fruit, and that your fruit should remain, so that whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give you.”
John 15:19
“If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own. However, because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, this is why the world hates you.”
Rom 11:7
What then? What Israel is seeking, it has not obtained, but those who were
chosen obtained it, and the rest were hardened;
Sorry, for the length. But I LOVE GODS WORD! Praise HIM forever!

My Peace with GOD is in HIS hands!
John 27 "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; 28 and I give eternal life to them, and they will
never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand. 29 “My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.”
Peace
