WOW!! Well that’s pretty darn sad…I am sorry but for people to state that someone has been their biggest influence in making their lives decisions for a negative view is not COOL!!! lol…Seriously…It’s like saying that I listened to I don’t know Usher and he influenced me to “make love in the club.” It’s silly…%between%
Apparently. According to Wikipedia, Perry was raised by two pastors:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Katy_Perry
“Perry was born in Santa Barbara, California, USA. The middle child of two pastors,[1] she grew up listening to gospel music and singing in church.[3] Katy Perry graduated from Chaparral High School in Temecula, California in 2003 and immediately moved to Los Angeles at the age of 17 [4] After Steve Thomas and Jennifer Knapp signed Perry to their label Red Hill Records, she released her first CD Katy Hudson in 2001, a Christian gospel album.[5] According to several Christian radio stations, Katy Perry’s most recent album One of The Boys has raised a considerable amount of controversy as her single “I Kissed a Girl” champions the forces of immorality versus morality, and promotes sexual activity that conflicts with her Christian upbringing; on the other hand, the single “Ur So Gay” has been interpreted as being homophobic for its derogatory use of the word “gay”. In her teenage years, Perry found a Queen album with her friend, “From then on, they have been my biggest influence”.[6] Also among her musical influences are Alanis Morissette[7] as well as Heart and Joni Mitchell.[8] Perry changed her surname to Perry because “Katy Hudson” was too close to Kate Hudson.[9] Perry was her mother’s maiden name.[1]”
Besides I went to Catholic school and I did rebel against my parents but even if I wanted to publicize it knowing I am a Catholic and will be doing something against myself and church like that would bring me down to my knees and pray that God forgives me for my sins!! That’s just wrong!!!
