Y’know… the whole thing could be a fake…there’s no way to contact her…but there’s just so many things wrong with all that. She says she couldn’t confess and abortion? Gee whiz… that’s what a priest IS for. That’s why we call it Reconcillaition. Sopmething just isn’t right in her testimony.

Have any of you thought of blogging your own real live Catholic testimony online?

She couldn’t confess an abortion to a Priest but now end up confessing abortion in public.

When ever I hear “I used to be Catholic” I usually say “Don’t lie, you were never a Catholic, or else you never would have left the Church in the first place.”

When ever I hear “I left the Catholic church because…” I usually say , “Good, we’re better off with out another faithless & ignorant fool that is being used by satan to cause problems in God’s Church”.

how can I say such things? I left The Church for 4 years, I was the biggest idiot of them all. :o

Hi Voci, I do believe there are none in Rcc. I never saw one in the catholic church. O,h well at least they wrote it. Ill give them that much credit. 😃 God Bless
Hi Spokenword -

When I go to church the bible is carried to the alter along with the other gifts. It isn’t a missal, but an actual bible! 🙂

Check it out next time you go to church!

God bless,
Surosa

Good point! Isn’t it wonderful how that works out? Now she may be forgiven!

What’s the right thing to do with someone in this state? Should off simply ignore “testimonies” like these? Should we reach out to the individual? Should we counter the groups that support her and others like her?

She’s lik a surf standing outside the castle beating her head against the wall and screaming at the King because He freely offered her the crown of a princess and she’s mad at Him because she didn’t take it.

The gate is wide open and she knows the way to the Kings court, but she stand outside throwing stones, kicking and screaming.

I guess we can leave Food and Water where she can see it, but I don’t think we should waste our time trying to force feed her.

There are too many other people in the kingdom that both need and want help.

Chuck

You guys need to spend less time reading anti-Catholic propoganda and more time actually talking to and observing real Catholics before you make statements like that.
I, a Catholic Christian, knew that Spokenword was talking about how people usually do not bring their Bible to Church. And our church does *not *have bibles for individual people, just missals. Great your church does, mine doesn’t. And I do not see anyone bringing their own Bible to Mass. Why should we? Scripture is still Scripture in a missal.

I certainly could have been more specific. I could have talked about the Bible the Priest reads from. But I thought spokenword was referring to the lack of actual Bibles carried in by or provided for the people in the congregation. I was trying to show that whether I personally have a Bible or not doesn’t matter. Scripture is in Mass in abundance.

I think scripture is scripture, whether it is being listened-to, read from a missal, or read from a Bible.
If it’s so important to always have it all bundled together in one book, I have to wonder – what did people do before the invention of the printing press?

They wrote it out by hand, of course. Often as one single volume. Often, as no such thing: parts of the Bible might be copied instead - the Gospels, Psalms, or other books that belonged together might be copied.

I described Holy Saturday to my Baptist mother last week, especially the part where we read scripture for 45 minutes or so straight. through, including some of the most beautiful passages in the Bible. No one in there right mind would think that Catholics who attend Mass aren’t hearing the word of God and in abundance.
