Learning about other faiths help remove ignorance about other faith customs and beliefs. Does anyone else agree?
Well I like Cardinal things, so there!NO !
I like seagull things - NOT pigeon things.
Indeed the Church holds the fullness of truth, that is what we believe, but to say that understanding another persons faith has no purpose, I’d have to say that learning about what they believe, why they believe, helps avoid a lot of ignorance about other people including why they do the things they do. Its also about mutual respect, not affirmation. What purpose does it serve?
It allows you to learn and understand other people. To understand the world as it is, why conflict exists between and within religions. It gives you insight into why others live as they do. It allows you to make informed choices about your own religion. It lets you assess and evaluate your thinking against that of others. It means you can see the world with more clarity and less judgement.I don’t like learning about false faiths. What purpose does it serve? We already have the fullness of the truth.
I like that. Will have to remember it. Thanks. (Sorry, but I’m out of little heart thingies for today, but if I could, I’d give you ten!)It means you can see the world with more clarity and less judgement.
