Update… I went back to work after the boss had a meeting with trouble making employee (she left for the day before I got there)… nothing at all was said. As helpful co-worker was leaving work, I talked briefly to him but learned nothing. Today I called him and found out that all is taken care of. He told boss the troublemaker started it. While troublemaker is valued as an employee more than I, boss now knows she does start stuff.

I am still not sure how all is going to play out, but at the moment, I realize that I am not ever going to get my raises or move up. At the moment, this gives me the opportunity to look for another job while I am still employed.

Help please, I beg all of you. There was a big snafu at work and boss told me I am fired if he can’t straighten it out… and he hasn’t given me any clue how it is going or went.

BlestOne – I can truely sympathize with you. It’s not an easy position to be in. You will be in my prayers.

Eternal Father, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion — inexhaustible, look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us, that in difficult moments we might not despair nor become despondent, but with great confidence submit ourselves to Your holy will, which is Love and Mercy itself.

Update… Boss told me he has not decided yet, but he doesn’t see me fitting in… he said I was talented and one of the best Christians he had ever met, and even said I showed great enthusiasm for my job… but I “Just can’t seem to make it to the next pinnacle” whatever that means. He also admitted he told 2 other people they are on 30 day notice… I am beginning to suspect it isn’t as much about me and my talkativeness… but about investors getting disheartened that we are not making money yet… (it is a relatively new company). But I think what really upset me was that he admitted that the other employee was a terrible person, a lousy mom and always in trouble with the cops… but she keeps his books so well he can’t lose her…

Ugh…this reminds me of a smaller company I worked for that operated much like an incestuous, disfunctional family!

This is a blessing in disguise, BlestOne, I’m sure of it. You can find better people to work for than a boss who makes judgements about his employee’s parenting abilities. Run far, far away if you can!

IMO, “you can’t make it to the next pinnacle” is management mealy-mouth speak for “I can’t afford to pay you any more or give you a raise to keep you around.”

As a business owner, if I said someone was a terrible person and they were keeping my books in the same sentence, then I’m not very smart in my business decisions…I’m sorry, but that’s my opinion…

Sounds like it may be best for you to move on, although you really don’t need this stress right now…however, God’s time, God’s plans are not always our own.
