Sounds to me that he doesn’t “choke with stakes”, he’s just plain lazy! You do all the “men/husband” items for him, (earning wages, running his business as well as yours, taking care of vital things such as your son’s medication, etc…) Seems like the only things he likes to do are household things – like a wife! – he’ll give you a back rub (& expects a lot of praise and appreciation for this), he’ll do the laundry, fix the dinner, help your son with homework, in other words, he’s living like a wife, letting you be the head of household, and won’t even keep a budget (as many wives do!)
I think he doesn’t want to grow up & be a MAN! He wants to stay home, pretend he’s going to run a “real” business (as long as you do all the work & give him all the credit). I think you’ve got a real loser there, and don’t think he’s ever going to change, regardless of therapy or counseling. Get out, if he doesn’t want to move, tell him the lease is his, or include the lease costs in the Bankruptcy if you can’t avoid the Bankruptcy now. Don’t pay for his cell phone. If it’s in your name, cancel it. Change your cell phone number & give it only to the school, your boss and your son’s Doctor, and make sure they know NOT to give it to him! Then look for an apartment YOU can afford, change your son’s school, and tell him to go and grow up and talk to you again in a couple of years. Sounds like this was never a marriage, and you wanted to back out even before it started. Don’t continue this pattern, because it will get worse, not better, and it’s certainly a bad example of manhood and marriage for your son!
