This is an update on my Mom’s skin cancer. “Chat” had an excellent report. All the places found on her by the dermatoligist were basal cell. (Sorry for the spelling). Anyway, Mom sounded great when I called her this evening. She was so relieved. The Doctor is going to do surgery on the one they found on her ear. Please continue to remember Chat, please pray that there won’t be anything more serious, when her ear is operated on. Thank you for remembering my sweet Mom. I told her we were praying on this forum for her; it really blessed her to know that folks she hasn’t met are praying for her. She said “tell them to keep praying for me”. She is so cute. She is 74 and I cannot keep up with her. lol.Thanks again for the prayers!

Antoher update on my mom “Chat”. Mom needs more prayer please. She has an infection in her stomach. The meds they gave her were too strong and it broke her out head to toe. She is a trooper, though,despite her difficulties she still gets up and goes over to her sister’s and takes care of her each day. Please pray that the meds they gave her to clear up her skin rash will work. She is so sweet. Bless her heart. She laughed and said as long as she doesn’t scratch, she doesn’t itch. So she is fighting the urge to scratch! God bless each of you for your continued prayers. sambfive

Hello My dear, kind, friends and Prayer Warriors,

Mom is doing much better with her med reaction and her skin is much better. Thank you.
I’ll let you know how her sugery goes regarding her basal cell on her ear.

Bless her little heart, she lives in WV. They got 24 inches of snow! Here in this part of VA (southern) we recieved 14.

Thank you so much for your concern and prayers for my mom and my husband and me as well. We still struggle, but I am praying and trying to be patient, speak little, listen much. Please pray he accepts my Catholic faith better. I have told him that I will always be Catholic and a devout one at that. Maybe some day he will find the devotion he needs to have for Christ, I pray he grows spirtually. (He doesn’t think he needs any kind of Church to worship Jesus.) Deep down, I believe he knows better.

Dear Kind Friends who have prayed for me, my husband and Mom.

Thank you and I hope each of you are enoying the celebration of our Lord’s birth.

I ask kindly to please add me back to your prayer list. I am struggling with difficulty of freedom in living my faith. My husband does not like the Catholic Church; and he resents it because of a temporary vow I have made to stay in a state of grace and receive the Holy Eucharist and sacrament of reconciliation. I am sorry to be vague, but it is personal and appropriate to only say that. He and I have always struggled, and I have always tried to be the most submissive, kind, and hardworking spouse, but my soul is my business between God and myself. Unfortunately, it in some ways affects him as well. He is quite angry with me. Life is so difficult with this situation, and I want to throw my hands up and give up comepletely; but thank the Lord for the presence of the Holy Spirit and the Eucharist.

I did have to request (because of my difficult circumstances) to miss Christmas Mass, a dispensation. My Pastor, who realizes the intense difficulties granted it, but asked me to make every possible effort. There was no way I could without a hostile reaction. Please continue to pray for me. I hardly have any friends at Church because I don’t live I survive; and when one survives one is just hanging on. I find it too difficult to participate, without worrying of the difficulties when I get home. Mass for now is it. I try to make one daily Mass through the week and of course Sunday Mass. Please ask Jesus to heal them of any problems they may find, and please keep your beautiful eyes on them so that they may be taken care of. I ask this through the intercession of St. Joan of Arc. St. Joan, my lovely saint, please pray that she will be filled with the Lord’s strength, as you were.
