If this is an example of your personality [in general], or if this is a typical situation you find yourself in [e.g. how you react in high school when other moral situation like this present themselves], then I think you did the right thing and I applaude you very much for your convinction, perseverence, and courage. Furthermore, I would recommend [and pray] that you find a much better job worthy of your moral convinctions and possibly even consider discerning for the priesthood (the church needs warriors like you!)
However, if this was just a passing and hasteful decision because you recently got all fired up about selling contraceptives, then I would say that you probably over-reacted. Either way, what you did was noble and morally justified.
