I think I made a mistake joining the LDS (mormon) Church

You are not a Mormon. If you were, you would know that Mormons wouldn’t say that to anybody. You are the same guy who from time to time appears here under a different username, and statrs a silly thread like this, and then disappears to come back and repeat the same thing a few months later.

Seems a pretty bold and harsh thing to post ( given the fact the you may not be accurate in your judgement of the OP)

At any rate, your " prophetic " statement of " you are not a Morman" seems rather obvious now.

not so sure. acouple days ago a mormon told me to my face that the Catholic Church is the church of satan. no kidding!

given the variety of beliefs we’ve found amoung the morrmons you shouldn’t be surprised that any given one will say any given thing.

I just don’t know what to do. I feel like the book of mormon has truth but I don’t know if I should be a Mormon. I know that makes no sense. I love the people and music and learning about God but I feel like I miss the Mass.

Any thoughts?

If you do not have an understanding from the Almighty that His church was restored than to you it is just a social club with a religious theme. Without such an understanding you should not have joined the church. For those who do know it is something else.
 
Yes, such is the Mormon view, if you find their church to be false, then there is something incredibly wrong with you, enough that God (the Holy Spirit) will abandon you altogether. Forever.

stating that mormonism was seen as a social club, you have no idea what this person knows or believes. you are just making stuff up.

and yes, that was an attack…passive/agressive as it was.

No I was saying that if a person joins the church without knowing it is of God than it can only be a social thing to that person because they lack the needed understanding for it to help them in their spiritual life.

And you know this is the case how? Again, judging that the OP “lacks” something. There is no lacking anything! That is you, making stuff up. Trying to “justify” for the OP why they would leave Mormonism.

You don’t need to do that for them. They already know why they are going.

Your post seems to imply that he didn’t have a full understanding of lds when he joined.

No one joins a particular faith, or converts to another faith with a complete understanding of that faith in the beginning. It comes in time. A person’s faith grows as they do.

As I said in the beginning, it seems you think the OP didn’t have a full understanding of lds when he joined. I would agree with that, and propose that the obtained a better understanding of lds, and that is why he left.

As far as the comment made by Z in an earlier post, accusing this person of posting under several names, just to stir things up.

That comment is and was totally uncalled for, and unless you can establish that this person in fact is using more than one screen name, etc., I believe an apology is in order.
