Yeah… this is pretty great, and is most of my point about children’s literature.
 
What can I say? 😛 It’s fun to watch people discover things they thought were millions of years old, oblivious to the fact that I found them first… and moidered dem dead. >*:*D
 
I think you should prevent children from reading or watching anything to do with Curious George or Dora the Explorer. Their names promote the gay agenda! :eek:

:ouch:Thank you for putting this thought in my head. Now not only do I have to wonder about Professor Dumbledore desire to see Harry after class now I have to wonder about Dora’s desire to explore.😊

Paranoid anyone? Can your faith be joseled by a movie, the cat in the hat? Barney? If so, how strong is your faith in God? I can tell you it’s going to take a whole lot more to make me, and I suspect millions of others, to second guess our faith in him. Harry Potter is a fictional book made into a movie written by a mere mortal, not the devils spawn. The reason I bring this up is credibility. Once you abuse it, it does not work as well as the first time. In my community, the pastor of my church spearheaded a push against our local library to remove all Harry Potter books. The entire community was not behind this and as a result, it only proved to divide our community. Since then Harry potter books are read by the children, and people went on with their lives. I think even as God’s soldier, we need to realize you cannot fight every battle.
 
Don’t be ridiculous! Of course, it is evident that Harry Potter does not exactly conform to the idioms of the catholic faith, but it does not mean that it is insidious, or that children should be banned from reading it. There is one thing that you must understand about this book: it is fiction. It is sold as a story! It is sold as a made up story! If you take that into consideration, you should come to realize that if you have raised your children right, then they will be able to make that distinction. You must understand that children are not defenseless lambs, and again, if you have raised them with God at heart, they will be fine. What they will take from the book is not satanic in nature; they will remember a story about friendship, and the experience of life. What frightens me is not the Halloween costumes, but the fact that a grown individual like yourself cannot make this distinction. Let your kids dress up like Harry Potter characters! You wouldn’t call a Barney costume insidious just because dinosaurs are extinct, would you?
 
I hesitate to mention the book with the most witches, deaths, genocide, magic, inexpilicably speaking inanimate objects and all manner of unholiness.

So I won’t… but I would like y’all to think on which book involves prostitutes, witches, speaking foilage, the culling of an entire world, talking animals with power over the actions of humans, and all manner of sins and unholy happenings.

And in the finest tradition of the Basilisk mentioned earlier in this thread i will name this book

“elbib eht”

Just a thought…
