It seems that there are two opinions on this question:
- He or she will be saved AS LONG AS he or she repents, that is, makes a contrition (it doesn’t need to be a perfect contrition).
- He or she will be saved ONLY IF he or she makes a perfect contrition with the firm resolution to have a confession as soon as possible.
