And many, many people claim it’s a hoax…Some people claim this is currently happening in Medjugorje
That is correct… and I believe that pilgrimages are now allowed, but that taking for granted that the apparitions were/are real remains forbiddenAs far as I know, the local bishop has never approved the Medjugorje apparitions
Are these the “God the Father and God the Mother” people? Had one of their missionaries approach me recently. Loonies. An example is this: A Korean “visionary” claimed to have a statue of Mary who was shedding blood from the eyes. So this person started spreading rumours and performed “miracles”. This so-claimed visionary also had marks on her skin and the Host turning to flesh on her tongue. However, the Church proclaimed that these claimed miracles and the statue as false and not supernatural. The visionary and her team still claim that the statue sheds blood and they even worship Mary…
If you’ve read them, then you know what I’m talking about. What makes you think I haven’t read them?
We’re only discussing what’s Approved here. And I never said anything about pilgrimages.
I have wondered what would happen if Our Lady appeared in a time and place where people were already assembled (maybe the Super Bowl or the World Cup?), said what people need to hear, and were recorded by thousands of people wielding smartphones as well as TV cameras. “Going viral” would be a drastic understatement.Let’s say that on October 13th of this year a miracle performed by Mary was performed, I don’t know, in a farming town in Missouri, in front of several people, and captured on video, and she told us to pray the rosary and do penance to avoid WW3, do you think people would follow her directions, or would we faithlessly ignore her?
