Initially, humanity was created perfect. Sometime after the Fall, things went poorly because of inbreeding. As a result, we had Neanderthal man.

Inbreeding most definitely occurred. However, I believe our initial perfection afforded us some immunity to this genetic degradation. Nevertheless, After the Great Flood event, we suffered another genetic bottle neck and were definitely deformed.

Nope. You?

I don’t believe in human evolution either And I believe in a literal Adam and Eve…

Adam & Eve did not have to disobey. They did. The rest is history, a history that God, in His wisdom, knew He could bring a greater good out of. This life, this world, is worth it, despite the evil that is allowed to prevail, for the time being.

How’d you come to that conclusion? I’m genuinely curious what makes you think that way vs another

Every human descending from one man and one woman would result in a genetically deformed offspring right off the bat. There’s no way it’s literal.
Well, the way it works is that when the parents share a significant proportion of their genes, they are at risk (25%) of having a child with an autosomal recessive condition caused by having two faulty genes of the same kind. So the faulty gene must first exist in both. If Adam and Eve had perfect genetics that would not happen in their children.

As someone who studies plants and botany, I believe in genetic variation. Micro evolution some would call it. Roses are related to apples; however, I cannot turn one into the other or create a new species.

Trivia [Did you know corn and pansies are dependent on mankind for survival? Corn mysteriously appeared and pansies are hybrids related to violets! Without us they’ll vanish.]

Anyways, I see no reason for God to create animals and then decide to transfuse several apes with souls. We’ve always been clearly set apart. Same thing with the animals. They’re distinct and relatively stable.

Considering the number of mass extinction events we’ve had, you’d think we’d have less life forms. Yet, after each event we have this explosion of diversity! When I rip out a garden and till it, there’s nothing left. I have to reseed and start Life Anew. Perhaps God does this too.

What does this have to do with the original question which was why didn’t God create first people who using their free will would not have disobeyed?

Am not sure what you are asking and about which post. Simple answer though is that if God created a first couple who had to obey, compelled to obey, they would not have free will, the essence of the image and likeness of God. They simply would have been another animal acting on some form of instinct.

Mary obeyed and she had free will so it is clearly possible for a human to obey God on Earth while retaining free will.

Scrap the idea ?
Are you outta your mind ?
God LOVES every single person that he brings into existence !
And your big idea, KK - is to scrap the idea ?
You must have wonderful relationships with people - when they step on your toes -

Scrap the design of Adam and Eve BEFORE they are created since He knew they would fall, and try two others until he makes two that of their own free will don’t fall. What’s so hard to understand about this? It like flipping a coin and desiring heads. Keep flipping until you get heads.

God’s knowledge of the future is of what does happen, not merely of what might possibly happen. If he sees the Fall, then the Fall is what happens. He can’t see the Fall and then decide to make it not happen.

Really, God doesn’t “and then” do anything. While in some sense a world without the Fall would have been closer to His perfect will, His singular creative act included everything that would (from our timebound perspective) subsequently occur — Creation, Fall, Redemption, and final Consummation.

Much as waiting for Lazarus to die allowed Jesus to show God’s power by raising His friend, it may be that permitting a Fall of the entire human race at the beginning allowed God to more perfectly show His love by taking on humanity and death for the sake of everyone.

Its not really free will if God wiped the person from existence everytime they made a decision He didn’t like.
