Is blue hair or any colour beside normal ones
be bad or a sin? becuase god didnt make us with that colour hair

Is make-up sinful for women? I’m not about to start dressing in “modest” Amish style clothing to fit someone elses ideals either. Besides, the Lord made me quite naked, come to think about it. 😃

Point being, if you want blue hair then by all means let rip. At least you’ll make some people smile and you’ll have something to talk about?

Nope, it wouldn’t be bad. I have sported pink and purple, each time with black streaks.

God didn’t make wristwatches but I don’t feel guilty for wearing one.
He didn’t make computers. for that matter. 🙂

I’m not seeing why it would be bad, unless you’re a minor and in direct disobedience of your parents. Even then, the blue hair itself wouldn’t be bad, just the disobedience. If your parents don’t care, or if you’re over 18, have at it! Hair grows out and you can always dye it back if you hate it.

There’s nothing wrong with having blue hair.

Not my cup of tea, but we shouldn’t be judging according to appearances and all that.

If having blue hair is a sin, half of the little old ladies on my caseload would be heading straight to hell! 🙂

Depends on age and circumstances. If you were fighting with your parents about it and you were living at home there would be a problem. If you were self sufficient, living on your own, paying your own way then that would be a personal decision.

I can’t see how it would be OK otherwise?

I would say that it would depend on the reason why you chose to color your hair some other color.

If you do it explicitly to go against God then yes it would be bad.

I love blue hair - and pink hair, and purple hair!

I’m too chicken to dye my own hair because I worry about split ends, but I love how it looks on other people; I think it’s very cute!! 🙂

Not unless you’d want everyone to know you got a “Swirly” in a freshly stocked “Tidy-Bowl” toilet…

Explain to me why you would want to dye your hair a color that does not naturally occur in humans.

Give me and the other “old farts” out here 3 (three) genuine, concise, and true REASONS for doing this… and we’ll get off your case about this… and you’ll probably find 3 reasons for not doing so…

(Playing “Papa/Mama Smurf” in the community theatre play does not count!)

In my Godless college days, I dyed my hair blue, pink, orange, etc. etc. as some sort of rebellion against…well, come to think of it, I can’t imagine what upper-middle class, didn’t-have-to-pay-for-college-because-mommy-and-daddy-were-paying-for-it, sheltered little me had to rebel against, but I’m sure it was important  .
Then, I did it to make A STATEMENT, about how “normal” (represented by traditionally accepted hair color) was “boring”. Plus, given the state of my soul at that time, it was probably an attempt to “get even” with God.

Now, however, that Jesus, age, and kids have mellowed me, I would TOTALLY still dye my hair- but pink, not blue (blue makes me look dead). But I’d do it now a) because I think pink is a really nice color and I’m glad God created it and b) it would make my kids laugh, which is always a nice sound.

Cheers,
Cari (who still, despite the best efforts of her kids, does not have to dye her hair to cover up grey)

I live in South Florida.
I see people from up North every winter down here,
and a lot of the women have Blue Hair.
BIG, TEASED Blue Hair, as a matter of fact.

Many of the old ladies for whatever reason try to get rid of their gray hair and it turns blue???

The blue color comes from a wash the little old ladies use on their hair to cover the gray.

Like I said, half of the little old ladies on my caseload would be looking at eternal damnation for their hair color then.

Hair is hair, dye it, shave it, have a mullett… do whatever, it’s really only hair, It grows back/out/ or in my dad says his does Starts on his head and then slowly snuck down his back.
