If i had blue hair would i be bad?

If a person is going to dye her hair in the first place, why would it even matter what the colour is?

(I don’t dye my hair, by the way. I earned each and every one of my gray hairs the hard way, so I figure I might as well let them show. 😉 )

Dying your hair, in itself, is not a bad thing. The things to consider would be why you are doing it, and looking into whether it could affect your hair even if you did grow the colour out. If you are dying your hair because you’d like to try something new, and your parents haven’t told you not to, I suppose go for it. Keep in mind, though that, despite the fact that we are not supposed to judge, being human, people judge. So keep in mind what kind of image you might be projecting if you have blue hair. It might matter to you, or it might not, but it’s something to think about. If you’re dying your hair to rebel against your parents/society/‘normal’/whatever, it might not be such a good idea.

I don’t see a problem with it. If your not going against your parents then go ahead.
I’d love to get light pink streaks in my hair (for the reason that I think it would be pretty), but I know my mom would bring the wrath of God down on me. And I’m 21 by the way:(🤷
 
Nothing wrong with it.

Though if you’ve never dyed it blue before, I suggest using a non-permanent type of dye.

My hair has been fuchsia, lime green, purple, and red. (I’m naturally brunette)

Right now its red. Everyone seems to think its natural on me. Nope, comes from a box.

I hope I’m someday a blue haired old lady.😛 Only mine will be intentional.

That is exactly the issue. Why bother people? Are they not bothered enough?

What happened to the days when girls dyed their hair adding highlights or simply dyed it usually a little lighter color. Now we have blue, green and pink, tattoos, earrings, piercings and teens wonder why employers won’t hire them? Is this rebellion helping the community? I do understand the anger and did a few things when I was younger but I am ashamed of it, not proud of it.

How much is enough or is it it just a freedom of expression? The rock and art culture bring it in but really how many people are going to be musicians or artists. Just not sure that it is an innocent thing.

St. Paul says those who don’t work shouldn’t eat. Work is pleasing to God. I’m sure it’s more pleasing to God than blue hair.
 
I don’t have a single problem with blue or violet hair. If I saw a girl with blue hair (long, normal, not spiked, manly cut or anything) dressed in a more or less non-anti-social way, I would think she’s a fantasy fan (the elves are sometimes pictured with blue hair). I have a problem with haircuts which could fall under cross-dressing or which transmit a negative message. I have an aesthetic but not moral problem with poorly done colorisations. While with enough care and a good dye, blue could look good, even typical colours can be done ugly. Sometimes you look at the person, you think it’s obvious she isn’t a blonde, or it’s obvious her natural colour is not black and she’s too young for grey hair, then you think, “What’s the point?” With blue or violet or whatever, you know what the point is, at least, as the colour doesn’t exist in nature. If a blonde dyes his or her hair black or a black-haired person dyes blonde and I can tell, now that’s something I don’t think less of a person for, but I would be worried about the person’s self-acceptance. This may be the case with unnatural colours as well, even though there’s no possibility of deceiving anyone into thinking the hair grew that way, so intent is excluded in a sane person.

I prefer sky blue. Royal is rich but not for the head. I’m not sure that navy would look good, too dark. How about blue-green? Actually, sparkly blue highlights might be something.

How about two toned light blue, and royal blue, with a few sparkly blue highlights thrown in?

This would go well if you have a very light skin complexion that leans more to the pink side than to the orange or blue.

If your skin colour is more orange or more green, or if you are dark skinned, then you need to stick with a lighter blue. (Actually, dark-skinned people tend to be blue-skinned, meaning that they need to avoid blue hair, I think.) If you are blue-skinned (whether light or dark), then you should go with a hair colour other than blue, unless you have very dark eyes. (Or use quite a lot of mascara.)
 
Dude! When I was in college, I had pink hair about this colorAND I went to Mass that way! No one ever said anything to me, and my future-in-laws (at that time) put up with it as well. Who cares what color your hair is? Your values and your faith are what count. Peace.
 
Now that this has turned into an exotic hair color thread:
Personally I’m thinking bright bright paint-on-a-guy’s midlife crisis sports car-red (I work telemarketing and will soon also be working for a store where it’s all right if you have an unnatural hair color), but have fairly dark hair. Is bleaching your hair really as bad for it as rumors have? I’d get it done professionally because chemicals + me = bad combination.

There are an awful lot of ladies in my parish with blue hair, so no, I don’t thing having blue hair would be a sin.😃
