How many people were killed in the crusades?

It always amazes me how many times this God orders the killing of innocent people even after the Ten Commandments said “Thou shall not kill”. For example, God kills 70,000 innocent people because David ordered a census of the people (1 Chronicles 21). God also orders the destruction of 60 cities so that the Israelites can live there. He orders the killing of all the men, women, and children of each city, and the looting of all of value (Deuteronomy 3). He orders another attack and the killing of “all the living creatures of the city: men and women, young, and old, as well as oxen sheep, and asses” (Joshua 6). In Judges 21, He orders the murder of all the people of Jabesh-gilead, except for the virgin girls who were taken to be forcibly raped and married. When they wanted more virgins, God told them to hide alongside the road and when they saw a girl they liked, kidnap her and forcibly rape her and make her your wife! Just about every other page in the Old Testament has God killing somebody! In 2 Kings 10:18-27, God orders the murder of all the worshipers of a different god in their very own church! In total God kills 371,186 people directly and orders another 1,862,265 people murdered
The God of the Bible also allows slavery, including selling your own daughter as a sex slave (Exodus 21:1-11), child abuse (Judges 11:29-40 and Isaiah 13:16), and bashing babies against rocks (Hosea 13:16 & Psalms 137:9).

This type of criminal behavior should shock any moral person.  Murder, rape, pillage, plunder, slavery, and child abuse can not be justified by saying that some god says it’s OK.  If more people would actually sit down and read the Bible there would be a lot more atheists like myself.



Jesus also promoted the idea that all men should castrate themselves to go to heaven:  "For there are eunuchs, that were so born from their mother's womb: and there are eunuchs, that were made eunuchs by men: and there are eunuchs, that made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it."  (Matthew 19:12 ASV)  I don't know why anyone would follow the teachings of someone who literally tells all men to cut off their privates.



The God of the Bible also was a big fan of ritual human sacrifice and animal sacrifice.



And just in case you are thinking that the evil and immoral laws of the Old Testament are no longer in effect, perhaps you should read where Jesus makes it perfectly clear:   "It is easier for Heaven and Earth to pass away than for the smallest part of the letter of the law to become invalid." I know that most Christians believe that God is a good and loving god, and wants people to do good things.  I believe that most people want to do good things and behave morally.  I also believe that many Christians haven’t really read the Bible, or just read certain passages in church.  This is understandable, as the Bible is hard to read due to its archaic language and obscure references.  Also many priests and preachers don’t like to read certain passages in the Bible because they present a message of hate not love.

There are many differences between Christianity and islam which have been discussed on numerous other threads so not going into that again. One huge difference:

Christianity: Jesus died on the Cross for our sins

Islam: He did not die on the Cross - he was replaced by someone else and he is a mere prophet who is below mohammed.

Islam is nothing like Christianity.

I wish muslims would get off the track of priests raping Christians. Yes, there was a bad patch in the Catholic Church but it is over. I have heard stories of Imams raping muslims kids - you will of course deny that as usual.

I see no “beauty” in islam at all. New converts are first taught the “beauties of islam”. They are told that islam is a religion, a religion of peace, of equality and worship of a single God. They are led to believe that islam is accepting of other religions, especially Judaism and Christianity that are monotheistic, and only disagrees with the believers of these religions in that they have corrupted their faith. They are then led to believe that islam is the only religion that has not been contaminated. Because of that it is the only religion accepted by God. Those who do not believe in islam reject the truth (deny God) and are doomed sinners. Eventually they are old that Isa and Musa of the quran are not the same as Jesus and Moses of the Bible. New converts gradually come to think of people of other faiths as the enemies of allah and will start to hate them actively. Then they are taught that only muslims are brothers to each other and that everyone else is out there trying to “get them”.

Please watch the testimony in my footer. He died and went to heaven where he met Jesus. Jesus spoke to him and confirmed everything that is written in the Bible. Why also if islam is true and Christianity is not do people have dreams of Jesus and visited by Angels and are always told about Christ and not islam. Nobody who has had those experiences has become muslim.

You however seem to have the true muslim mindset: I am right, you are wrong; I am superior, and you are inferior; islam and the arab culture is the only way, and yours is evil and I must do everything I can to change you. You are sinners, I am a muslim – the only true religion – and through jihad I must change you; if I die without accomplishing my goal, other muslims behind me will succeed, and I am guaranteed heaven. You know that is true and with that mindset how will (some not all) muslims ever live in peace with any non-muslims!

I have read the ENTIRE quran (unlike most muslims I might add) and do not see it being from God at all. I prayed before I read it (for God to let me know if it was his Word) and felt sick and had several minor convulsions. I prayed for God to protect me from what is in it and only then could I read it. I was in a relationship with a muslim man and even he (after many discussions) couldn’t make me believe a word of it.

There was nothing that jesus could do. he tried his best. but what he got in return. The Cross. he was put up on the cross and he endured it. it was a miracle for the sake of jesus that God accepted his prayer and saved Jesus from the curse of the death on Cross.

Jesus could not do anything. He could not finish his mission with any clear and complete success. he had many things to say and tell his friends. but he could not do it. (John).

I read recently that some Fathers of church had been misusing the choir girls. They were prosecuted and punished. it was in the news, uite shameful. But that has nothing to do with any religious matter. that type of work is ciminal, whether it is done by Mullas or Padres i.e. the unmarried Fathers. .

You had not respected our sacred book Quran. You said that you read it and became sick with convulsions. But you did not read the bible carefully and did not note the un-natural teachings of the bible. Why is that? May be something wrong with you?
