Some interesting dialog - some good biblical quotes to back the position that Jesus did not actually die, but if we are quoting the Bible to make our point, why not read just a bit further.
Mark 15:37 “Then Jesus gave a loud cry and breathed his last”.
Mark 15:44-5 “Then Pilate wondered if he were already dead; and summoning the centurion, he asked him whether he had been dead for some time. When he learned from the centurion that he was dead, he granted the body to Joseph”.
Luke 23:46 “…Having said this, he breathed his last.”
John 19:33-5 “But when they came to Jesus and saw that he was already dead, they did not break his legs. Instead one of the soldiers pierced his side with a spear and at once blood and water came out. He who saw this has testified so that you also may believe. His testimony is true and he knows that he tells the truth.”
Numerous other examples in Peter & Pauls letters state that Jesus died & rose again.
If you beleive that the Bible is the accurate word of God, how can you possibly ignore the multitude of examples stating clearly that Jesus was dead?

Then he was seen by two of the disciples when they were going out to the countryside; and last of all he appeared to the eleven when they were at their meal and censured them for their callousness and lack of faith. When two disciples of Jesus were going towards the hamlet called Emmaus which was at a distance of 3.75 miles from Jerusalem, Jesus met them; and when they were near that hamlet, Jesus went forward to part company with them, but they did not allow him to go, saying that that night they would be together.

He then dined with them, and all of them, along with Jesus, spent the night at the village named Emmaus. In spite of the fact that on account of individual bias the accounts of the gospels have differed, the texts as they are, nevertheless, clearly show that Jesus met his disciples in the ordinary mortal human body, and made a long journey on foot to Galilee; showed his wounds to the disciples, dined with them at night, and slept in their company.

Now, here one has to consider whether, after acquiring an eternal spiritual body, i.e., after gaining that immortal body which entitled him, having been freed from the necessity of eating and drinking, to sit on the right hand of God and to be free of all wounds, and pain, and infirmities, it still suffered from one defect, although it had the glory of the Eternal and Ever-Existing God – the defect, namely, that his body had on it fresh wounds of the Cross and the nails, which were bleeding and were very painful and for which an ointment had been prepared,

and even after acquiring a glorious and an immortal body, eternally sound, faultless, perfect, and unchangeable, that same body continued to suffer from defects of many kinds: Jesus himself showed to his disciples the flesh and bones of his body, and again, not only this, but there were also the pangs of hunger and thirst – necessities of the mortal body; otherwise, where was the need for him during the journey to Galilee to do such useless things as eating and drinking water, resting, and sleeping?

Undoubtedly, hunger and thirst, in this world, are painful for the mortal body, which may even prove fatal if they become extreme. So there is no doubt that Jesus did not die on the Cross, nor did he acquire a new spiritual body

On what do you base your assertion that Jesus slept in the disciples’ company after the resurrection? The Gospels don’t say that anywhere. On the contrary, according to the Gospel of Luke, Jesus did not spend the night with the two disciples in Emmaus:

“So they drew near to the village to which they were going. He appeared to be going further, but they constrained him, saying, “Stay with us, for it is toward evening and the day is now far spent.” So he went in to stay with them. When he was at table with them, he took the bread and blessed, and broke it, and gave it to them. And their eyes were opened and they recognized him; and he vanished out of their sight.” --Luke 24:28-31

You seem to think it an important point that Jesus slept after his “resurrection”, So please provide some evidence for that claim. There is absolutely no evidence for it in Scripture.

Also, if Jesus did not have a spiritual body, then how could He vanish out of the disciples’ sight like that, or how could he enter a room through locked doors? As John relates:

“Then it being evening on that day, the first of the sabbaths, and the doors having been locked where the disciples were assembled because of fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst and said to them, Peace to you.” --John 20:19

“And after eight days, His disciples were inside again, and Thomas was with them. The door having been locked, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said, Peace to you.” --John 20:26

Why did Jesus eat with the disciples? To show them that He was truly physically resurrected; He was not just a spirit, as some claim. Similarly, He did things such as vanishing, and entering through locked doors which prove that He did not have an ordinary, mortal body, as you are trying to claim, but a resurrected, spiritual body.

When Jesus was lead outside the tomb, the stone was too heavy, and could not be put aside by an injured Jesus just recently recovered; he needed to show to his disciples that he had not died on the Cross, he has been saved. That is it, in my opinion.

I’m not exactly sure what your point is here. The fact is the stone was rolled away, not so that Jesus could get out, but so the disciples would see that His body was resurrected and not just His spirit. Of course with His resurrected body Jesus could have gone out of the tomb without having the stone rolled away, just as He could enter a room where the doors were locked shut.

If the disciples had not seen that the tomb was empty though, and seen that Jesus ate food, and felt His body and His wounds, they would have thought that He was just a ghost, because they knew He was dead.

Now you say that He was never dead and that He had just an ordinary mortal body. Please explain how an ordinary mortal body gets into a room where the doors are all locked shut.

Hi. I would think that it would have taken an awful lot of healing in 3 days to ‘fix’ the wounds that Jesus received during His crucifixtion (especially the mortal wound caused by the javelin).

The miracle is, that He was physically dead, but spiritually alive during this period of time. He returned to His body, taking His life back again. This proved to all mankind, that there is life after death, for those that believe upon Him, and His Father’s Word, that He came to earth to witness as being true. John the baptist, witnessed that Jesus was who He said He was. We have no witness to the truth of Mohammad being who he said he was, nor any other ‘prophet’ outside of the OT and NT.

Exactly how did anybody did that? The tomb was guarded by the roman soldiers. Please tell me, in your opinion, how anybody help Jesus left the tomb in front of those roman soldiers?

You have not tell us yet on how Jesus survive a deep wound by the spear of the soldier, and later show that wound which was still open unstitched, so that Thomas can put his hand inside that wound.

Perhaps Nicodemus knowledge was so advance to Star Trek 25th century, that Jesus just have to said “Nicky, beam me up” or “Nicky, beam me down”. Paar believes that the 100 lbs spices brought by Nicodemus was capable to heal Jesus’ wound.

When I was posting on a Protesant discussion forum, quite sometimes agao; they said it would be a greater miralce of GodAllahYHWH to save Jesus, under the circumstances, from death on the Cross than if he died on the Cross.

We should therefore believe the greater miracle than the smaller one as it was the last miracle of GodAllahYHWH as promised by Jesus to the adulterous Jews.

I love Jesus so I would go for his being alive in the event of crucifixion.
