Are we still able to communicate with God? (Like pray the rosary, simple prayers, liturgy of the hours, etc)
Well one should be able to communicate with, how else would one be able to confess thier sin.Are we still able to communicate with God? (Like pray the rosary, simple prayers, liturgy of the hours, etc)
Many of us who left the Church and returned after many years did so largely through intense prayer, the rosary in my case. I know grace can not be conveyed to a person in mortal sin but something is happening or I would not have achieved success. Spiritual strength is being attained through prayer, call it grace or call it whatever, it’s there.Well one should be able to communicate with, how else would one be able to confess thier sin.
That said however saying these prayers (save the sorrowful mysteries) would be unable to convey grace to the one praying. Also how could these prayers be pleasing to God if they stained with sin?
A person in mortal sin should not hesitate to pray. They can pray for the grace of repentance, they can meditate on the Passion of Jesus, they can pray the Rosary and Our Lady will intercede for them for the graces they need. Are we still able to communicate with God? The Holy Spirit waking the dead spirit up to sincre repentance, perhaps. Many of us who left the Church and returned after many years did so largely through intense prayer, the rosary in my case. All the more we need to pray … pray, pray and pray, until the next opportunity for confession. One of the most unique aspect of Christianity is that God gravitates towards sinners. Jesus comes for the sick. Are we still able to communicate with God? (Like pray the rosary, simple prayers, liturgy of the hours, etc)
