CK as much as you like to think you aren’t being told what to beleive you are, by your “faith” comunity.
When a person tells you to join their church or be wrong, thats being told what to believe…

who told you that the trinity exists, who tells you what the baptist “comunion” means.
who told you anything is telling you what to beleive.

I read it, and then read about the word seemed to fit the description.

No one, I don’t know what it means, other then I guess it has something to do with Communion.

I noticed it.

Anything else?

🙂 okay
what:eek: are you telling me that your church has not explained a thing to you?
from the Gospel according to St. John17:20"Yet not for these do i only pray, but for those who through their(meaning the apostles) witness are to beleive…"read the whole of chapter 17 if you like…the point stands though even Christ knows people need to be told what to beleive.

Explained what exactly?

lol, back then yes, now I have a bible that I can read from. The disciples are gone.

Evangelization must be tough for you? Or are you okay with telling people what to believe?

God bless

you stated you do not know what communion means according to your professed beleif.
by reading the bible are you not being witnessed to by the apostles?
disciples are gone???no! are we not His disciples?

I know what Catholic Communion is, I don’t know what a Baptist one would be.

I am witnessed by what I read in the bible. The original disciples are dead, and in heaven. I am not one of the original disciples, whether I am his disciple is his choice to tell me.

When did I ever tell anyone what to believe?

Hmm. I’d say that if anyone tries to mandate what one believes, it would be the Roman Catholic church.🙂
Really, so the whole, “I am the way the truth and the life” or “no one comes to the father but through me” are not mandates on what to believe? “You must be born again…”

God bless

I just made a statement that evangelization would be tough on you if you have hesitations in telling people what to believe.🤷

Especially convincing sinners that they are so and in need of a savior.

So then, Jesus and the Roman Catholic church are one in the same then?

Next you are going to say that it doesn’t matter because the Roman Catholic church wrote the Scriptures.

lol, I’ll type this then go to bed, cause its late already.

I follow Christ, I read my bible and determine what to do from it. If you dis-agree with that, then well, too bad.

Good Night.

goodnight ot you too.and may God keep you.

You seem to me like a smart guy. With that being the case, why don’t you just read your Bible and let your brain work for you and let the Holy Spirit help you to understand it. If you truly did that, you would not be Roman Catholic anymore, I guarantee it.
SIA,

This is a revolting post. I find it unconscionable that you speak to people like this. If a person reads the Bible and lets their brain work they won’t be a Roman Catholic? Give me a break. Every time anyone asks you to explain or defend your Anglican faith, you never do. You are a fallen-away Catholic and you hate your former faith. We get it. Now why don’t you move on and quit coming in here and insulting Catholics. My question is what do you get from Catholic Answers Forums? You are of the opinion that Catholics are mindless and uneducated and below you, then why do you come in here? You can’t possibly grow in your appreciation of the Catholic faith with that attitude and disposition so why don’t you go to forums like ChristianForums where Anglicans and other protestants meet? I just don’t get it. I don’t know what you think Catholics did to you or why you hate our faith so much but I find it insulting, pure and simple that you imply Catholics lack an awareness of the Holy Spirit and Scripture. Maybe you need to take a look at your female priestesses, your flexible-as-a-pipecleaner theology, your alignment with African provinces because your own national church is corrupt and evil, your moral relativism, and 39 Articles that nobody holds to anymore, and maybe you might discover that you need a Bible refresher course and a dose of the Holy Spirit. We have 2,000 years of infallible teaching, the Chair of Peter, real apostolic succession, a Eucharist not based on Calvinism with a touch of Luther, and moral standards that aren’t subject to change.

If you can’t at least be corgial with Catholics, what do you hope to gain in here?

So then, Jesus and the Roman Catholic church are one in the same then?
Peter was given the Keys. If you remember the concept of the Keys in the Biblical concept, the keeper of the Keys is given the authority and power to work in concert with what the king himself wills when he is physically away. You’d really benefit from a Scott Hahn book or two or maybe some Old Testament study. The Roman Catholic Church possesses the charism of infallibility through His Holiness the Pope. The Pope exercises the unbroken Keys for 2,000 years. So yes, Jesus’ will and the Church ARE one in the same through the promise of the Holy Spirit to “lead us to all truth.” The Church is the BRIDE of Christ. That’s Biblical and true.

I just don’t understand what’s so tough about the “gates of hell not prevailing” against the Church and the Holy Spirit “guiding you to all truth” and “The Rock” etc. etc.? What part of that aren’t you ‘getting?’

What do you believe about your church? Do you believe the Holy Spirit is guiding it? Who’s at the helm? If you look at the state of Anglicanism worldwide, that’s a focus question you really need to meditate on! A religion founded on a divorce and furthered by Calvinist sympathizers and queens for political power isn’t something I’d trust…Any religion based on a “compromise” like that of Elizabeth and that promises to be a “middle road” is obviously breaking Christ’s most important admonition: NOT TO BE LUKE-WARM!

You sure can’t accuse the Catholics of being luke-warm!
