But the reason I repeated your question is because (no offense) you didn’t give a good explanation for my question. I asked you the meaning of Katy Perry’s song “rock god”, and you said it was just a metaphor for artistic expression. I am not trolling.You’ve just bolded the explanation yourself. I don’t understand your post. If the top 100 songs of 2013 were sung by 100 different artists, there would be too much dilution regarding concerts and magazines. Sex and drugs sell more than Leave It To Beaver. But no one is forcing them to sell. They could have jobs in other fields instead, including the sellers. As they said in The Hunger Games, “If everyone would stop watching, they would be powerless.” I need to believe that those calling the shots are atheists who don’t care about the welfare of others. Why else would one Profit from immorality and the destruction of others? Since they own the media, I guess they can always promote more charity themes and the raising of taxes on innocent taxpayers as coerced help, as they laugh all the way to the bank…

Some Catholics, Christians, and fringe conservatives have a strawman of popular music and culture. They think it’s all the creation of one, singular entity: the Illuminati. It’s a product of Satan they say.
All the while they ignore that pop culture actually covers far too many genres, mediums, countries, sub-cultures, demographics, and most likely other things I myself would fail to mention.
