Who knows what the dynamic of that particular family is? Things happen even in the best of families.

Could you dial back the misogyny please? This idea that all women are inherently problematic and part of extreme leftist sleeper cells is tiring.

I think it is hardly leftist to suggest that there are certain safe bets when it comes to a Supreme Court Justice and maybe a woman has not shown to be the best bet. Sandra Day O’Connor, Republican, did not fulfill the role after she became a justice. We have had Roe for almost 50 years and if Trump messes this up, we may have it another 30. If the argument is that it is already law, then I can’t imagine what the argument will be in 30 years.

I would go with the most certain pro-life nomination.

I am not being a misogynist. I love women and believe they can be great judges. I am just concerned about being this close to overturning Roe and making a good choice.

Trump has already said it will be a female so it does not really matter.

I don’t believe any leftist in their “right” mind does (support child abuse) either.
That’s because you don’t see what they are doing to “Desmond”.

Did you follow out the links? Did you read my post that you linked to?

Here is my post again.

Melterboy2 . . . . The children don’t even know who the drag queens are sexually . . . . The left (including sadly his own parents) exploited “Desmond” (who was also autistic) for childhood teases for homosexually themed sex shows too. Look. If you think what these adults are doing to “Desmond” is NOT abuse, you go right ahead and think that without me.

In the meantime . . .

I stand by what I said.

You are misinterpreting what I am saying. I am not arguing about this case, not saying it is anything but abuse. What I disagree with is that most liberals or leftists think this way. Also, there are other types of abuse that have nothing to do with gayness or transgenderism. I am not in favor of child abuse in any form.

One of the most egregious and heartbreaking stories re this issue,is the one of the twin brothers, one of whom their physician mother insist wants to be a girl ,even though he has stated otherwise.Yet the courts continue to rule in her favor that she can dress him as a girl, rename him Luna, etc. It makes me want to cry for this poor precious little guy,who clearly doesn’t have a voice and neither does his father.

Simply turn around the argument you’ve used regarding women and apply it to men. Using your reasoning anyone could say that we shouldn’t appoint any men to pretty much anything, to be honest. Everyone would automatically see how ridiculous it is. Yet, you’ve used an example of one woman and have decided that now you’re ‘scared’ of any woman in a similar position.

I am not trusting of a woman or men on this issue. I know what you are saying but I think I want a more secure bet as there is only one shot here.

I know it is coming across as a mysogonist but that is not my intention.

Long before this gender issue became widely discussed, I was in Girl Scouts. The lady who led our troop had two daughters. The youngest was a freckled redhead with gorgeous long hair and I saw her in one of our meetings wearing a pretty blue dress.

The next meeting, I saw this tearful redheaded and freckled boy who had been sent home from school, and I didn’t recognize who he was. When I asked, I was told the name of the younger daughter. Then it was explained that she had wanted to see what it was like to be a boy. I believe she was still in elementary school at that time.

So, they had cut off her long red tresses and gave her a boy’s short-cropped hairstyle, complete with a cowlick toward the back. “He” had on a checkered boy’s shirt and blue jeans, and looked for all the world like a natural boy, from the outside.

The problem at school had arisen when she (“he”) needed to use the restroom.

She found out that being a boy when one really isn’t a boy was no fun, at all. It had been an experiment that was doomed to go wrong.

That was back in the early 1960s, when discussing this sort of subject was generally taboo.

This family was more progressive than most, even for that time.

Boy I guess so! Either progressive or they took her curiosity to the extreme!

The fact that McConnell refused to give Obama’s nomination a fair hearing in 2016 even though it was several months before the election. The GOP’s reason: let the people decide by voting for a new President first.
The reason was it was a Democrat nominee and a Republican senate. Why should they hold a vote before the election?
In this case it is the same party holding both the WH and senate. It has happened 17!times before, rarely without confirmation.

protecting the unborn is the right thing to do
True, but no appointment by Trump will overturn Roe. It won’t happen. Roberts, Kavanaugh, Gorsuch, and probably Alito would not vote to overturn. And even if they did, they would not ban abortion. They would return it to the states.

It is true it may not get overturned but there is a great possibility that eliminating abortions will start with creating restrictions.

I think this is true, and a court that recognizes the true evil that is abortion will allow states to place further restrictions. It won’t impact progressive run states, however.
