Homosexuality, therefore, is accepted by the Catholic Church and there can be no possible repercussions for engaging in it; for, even if someone does, by virtue of doing so they MUST be accepted by Catholics.

This conclusion is wrong and does not derive logically from “accepting” the person of the homosexual, as another wise post pointed out.
Catholic teaching , which you skim over so blithely, is that the homosexual act is deviant and unnatural and inherently wrong. You know that and no casuistry on your part will convince anyone.

But if we say we hate homosexual ‘behaviour’ - homosexuality - we are crossing the line of ambiguity and such a comment automatically becomes an inflammatory personal attack on the homosexual to whom we may be speaking.

I can say I hate ‘dishonesty’ but I can’t call a dishonest person a liar because that’s a personal attack.

Obesity is deplorable but don’t call someone ‘fat’ even if its the truth.

If we are to honesty and charitably accept the homosexual as the person they really are, then that means warts and all. If they identify themselves as inseparable from their homosexuality, then we can’t love half the person. Our love can’t be partial and conditional.

This does NOT preclude us from respecting homosexuals more than they respect themselves. We can and must respect them enough to help them turn away from their own error. We must be compassionate enough to tell them that the wages of sin is death. We must be sensitive enough to understand their slavery to sexual hedonism and know that they need our loving intervention.

We must be compassionate to the sinner in the same way that a surgeon is compassionate to the person whose life they are saving using a scalpel.
