Great question. First I would max out my credit cards and rent a lamborghini for myself and my friends and family and drive down the highway as fast as the car can go. I would then send all of us for a trip around the world and party it up. Then I would pray and die.
That’s alot to do in one hour 🙂

I’d take out my Bible and read the truth about dying,

John 11:25-26
Jesus said to her,
“I am the resurrection and the life;
he who believes in Me will live even if he dies,
and everyone who lives and believes in Me
will never die
.
Do you believe this?”

yes I believe that

What would you do??
If I truly knew that I only had one hour to live I hardly would be happy. I would be very sad that I could not see my daughter grow up and that I would be leaving my wife. My best guess is that I would spend it with both of them in tears, hugs, and prayer that GOD would give them the strength to move forward without me. I also would pray in a thankful manner to GOD for blessing me with my lovely wife and beautiful daughter and all the millions of blessings HE has showered me with in my lifetime. What happens to me at the time of death I leave to GOD’s supreme justice.

Thanks for all the responses so far. 🙂

In hindsight, I should have added one more option;
“d) None of the the above (please elaborate)”

As for myself, I shall opt for B, followed by prayer and singing some of my favorite hymns together with my loved ones.

Another point to ponder…

“he who fears sin fears not death, he who fears not sin fears death.”

:amen:

If I were faced with an event that would be cataclysmic such as an asteroid hitting the vicinity where I lived…or a nuclear bomb being unleashed in my home town with no way to get out…I’d open that special bottle of wine I’ve been saving for a special occasion…sit out in my garden, drink a few glasses of good wine and thank the Lord for my time in this world and sit in quietness being thankful until I was Called back to the Presence.

“When peace, like a river, attendeth my way,
When sorrows like sea billows roll;
Whatever my lot, Thou has taught me to say,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.”

I’d kiss my wife goodbye, have a last beer, and go into the forest.

  1. Make the best confession of my life.
  2. Recieve the Last Rites of the Church
  3. Recieve Holy Communion
  4. Pray till the last moment

Three Chinamen are playing a game of Fan-Tan when they find out the world is coming to an end. One says, ‘I’m going to the mission and pray.’ One says, ‘I’m going to buy me a bottle and spend my last at the House of the Evening.’ The last one looks down at the pieces and says, ‘I will finish the game.’

I will finish the game.
