The Communion Plate was irrelevant to the discussion, yet another straw-man argument. But if you somehow think it is relevant to your original comment, please feel free to quote and elaborate. And in no way was I “defending CITH” (I don’t need to “defend” it, the Church allows it by indult, and the Church can change it if she wishes) I was pointing out your error in your reasoning for receiving COTT, because you are bound by current Church teaching (which makes the deacon, who’s hands are not consecrated, the equal of the priest for distribution of Holy Communion), not what was Church teaching. Do you, or do you not get that? Try learning to eat new foods on your plate (current Church teaching) rather than picking through and eating the same old stuff (The Trent menu).
Right, that’s what I said, and have been saying.
And that includes the Bishop, Priest and Deacon, who’s hands are not consecrated. Which is exactly what I was pointing out to you. Consecrated hands have nothing, zero, zilch to do with distribution; they only apply to confecting; which is why a deacon may be an Ordinary Minister of Holy Communion, which is the current norm, and not an indult. So you should have no problem receiving COTT from a deacon, yes?
