If you're not Catholic, what is your motivation for visiting CAF regularly?

I read a lot of protestants in here and some are insightful, intelligent, Biblically quite literate, and very charitable to Catholics. I also read many who have a deep “jag” on against Catholicism, seem to disagree with it no matter what, show great shock and surprise when Catholics are angry at their insults against the Church, and they seem to find nothing redeeming in our Catholic faith? I’m just curious as to why non-Catholics visit here?
Two reasons:

1.) I am very curious and interested in Catholicism

and

2.) Despite what others say on here about us dirty dissenters, I enjoy the conversation. It is enlightening and informative…if I catch the right person. Sadly, though, some of my own “ilk” make it rough for the rest of us.

I’m here because my faith (Mormonism) is consistently trashed here by Catholic posters who obviously only have a superficial knowledge of our beliefs and practices. Since many nice Catholics come to this forum (the non-Catholic religions board) to ask questions about Mormonism, I sometimes post here when I think a more balanced perspective is needed.

You forgot an option:

“You have an affection for the RC church, and respect for it, but disagree with it on some important matters”

That’s my situation, and I came here to try to understand more about the RC church and its teachings…however certain people very cleverly ruined THAT, thank you very much guys…
