Ignatieff’s sad argument

In previous editions, The Catholic Register has called abortion-on-demand Canada’s greatest collective sin and our government’s inaction on the issue our greatest national shame. Now opposition leader Michael Ignatieff is calling on the government to export our abortion culture overseas as part of an otherwise worthy government initiative to provide basic health care for sick and dying women and children.

Bishop Fred Henry and Archbishop Thomas Collins got it right when, respectively, they called Ignatieff’s comments “pathetic” and “astonishing.”

I think what is extremely appalling about this story is that the original initiative was to provide aid to women and children and he has said that this isn’t good enough unless it includes abortion.

I hope this lost individual finds the truth…

I think Ignatieff has lost a lot of support in his riding, which is Etobicoke Lakeshore and may bolster Conservative hopes of getting elected there. It also helps get a Conservative elected in the neighbouring riding of Etobicoke Centre (Our Conservative PM, Mr.Harper, was educated at Richview High School in that riding) At present we have a Liberal who does not replies to his E-mails and letters.
So, some good may yet come out of it. It just shows you just how out of touch Mr.Ignatieff is with the views of the many Catholics in this area. Hopefully, he will lose his seat at the next election.

Well if he does lose the riding hopefully they will push someone else out of a different liberal riding so we won’t lose him as the Lib Leader. Everytime this buffon opens his mouth support for the libs decline. When they first elected him I was a little worried because it looked as if they may have picked a better leader than Dion but that worry disappeared as I witnessed the bufoonary continue.
