😦 Maybe they can re-direct their energies to other good or even better things:shrug: Maybe this is in God’s plan somehow. All hope is not lost:)

Of course there are other things for the Church to do, but it is sad for the mothers.

Many mothers decide to place their children for adoption because they want them to have the advantages of being in a family with both a mother and a father. What will happen now? Will those mothers chose not to place their children knowing that there is a chance that the child will be placed in a household without both a mother and father?

(I am not talking about ā€œcrisisā€ adoptions where the court is intervening; I am referring to voluntary placements)

This is so ridiculous. pornography is allowed all over the place while a Holy cause of God has to be shut due to the pagans having so much power.

Congratulions advocaters of separation of state and Church.

Agreed. And it is only going to get worse. Much worse. Pray for the Grace to survive the coming tribulation.

Absolutely! I do pray every day for ALL OF US to be inundated and completely flooded with God’s grace! WE ARE GOING TO NEED EVERY DROP!

Jesus have mercy on us!

I hope that a Catholic somewhere will be able to help working underground.

It will get worse before it gets better.

Continue to pray, and do the right thing.

Don’t lose heart! ā€œand the gates of the netherworld shall not prevail against it.ā€

I had this ***exact ***same thought. In fact I made a comment to my H about it, wondering out loud if this could be done underground.

True, but the gates of hades will certainly try!

Nah, I don’t believe the Tribulation is near. I believe the Church is going through a much needed chastisement that will result in a purified Church. The world goes as the Catholic Church goes, so sadly the rest of the world will suffer as the Church suffers. There will be a much better day. This will take time because the entire culture needs to be converted (it is a Pagan culture now), so don’t expect and overnight change. It took at least forty years to create this horrific mess, so it will take many years to make it all right. Getting rid of legal abortion, making traditional marriage the only form in this culture, teaching people that forincation and living together is a sin, bringing people back to the Church, etc., that will take much work and time.

God is in control.

To be honest with you, I fear that we are near to the great tribulation. But then again, I suppose maybe we are just in a chastisement period. Regardless, I still have this fear that things are going to get worse, much worse, before things get better.

Yes, Holly, I have a sense that we might be as well. We must PRAY and TRUST IN JESUS. Prayer will comfort, keep us close to the Lord, and help save many souls.

I’m kind of a skeptical optimist / hope-filled pessimist in that regard. šŸ˜› I think some things will get worse, but other things will get better. History tends to ebb and flow that way.

I do think this is one area where things are definitely going to get worse. The Catholic Church is being muscled out of health care and child care services one state at a time. I wouldn’t be surprised if education (i.e. Catholic schools) are next on the chopping block.

But I still have hope. We have had some great popes and great saints in our age. All is never lost.

Thanks for posting Teelynn. I wonder how we will know when we are in the great tribulation if it does indeed happen during our life time?

I also things are definitely going to get worse in this area. To be honest with you, it just seems that things are moving in a direction which indicates that before too long, the Church is going to be persecuted severely here in the United States and maybe even around the entire world.

Regardless of whether or not that does happen though, we must pray for the grace to overcome any persecution or tribulation that may come.

The Tribulation is not here, at least not yet. We are seeing the Church go through pains, which caused the world around it to respond in kind.

We need to not look for the end, but rather help convert the world today!

Well, Jesus himself gave us some things to watch for. Our recent Popes have also chimed in on this…one of the prominent things would be the great apostasy and lack of faith. It might in fact get even worse in this area, but I would say, we can see that happening even now. Pope John Paul has said a number of things on this and so in fact has Benedict. When the signs of the times are scripturally documented, I don’t think Jesus meant for us ignore it. When asked directly how we would know…He didn’t say, ā€œoh that is none of your concernā€, but gave concrete sign posts. But yes, as others have said, we are not meant to be obsessed with prophecies, but are encouraged to live the gospel. Pray, receive the sacraments, strive to become closer to Jesus, and not to hide our ā€œlightā€ under a bushel basket. In other words, be ready to meet the bridegroom at any time. This has ALWAYS been the message of the Church from day one. No one knows the hour or the day.

God Bless you,
Teelynn

Poor, poor babies and children. 😦
Indeed! Let’s not forget, too, all those employed by Catholic Charities that are either out of a job or are now presented with their own moral dilemma as to whether or not they can continue to work for these newly formed non-Catholic agencies that are mandated by the state to place children with co-habiting or same-sex couples.

Don’t you think that Christians living through WWI and then WWII, must have thought the world was coming to an end?
