I’m an active homosexual, am I destined to hell?
sorry i didn’t read all posts, but did read few. to answer your question, No, you are not destined to go to hell, but its your choice to make, you can always change. did you know no matter how many times you have committed sins against humanity and God, you can always become pure. pure means you have no more sins (confession). so your destiny is totally in your hands. God wants you to be with him for eternity, so does lucifer…think about it.

My friend your sin is for God to judge but I am of the opinion that the ice you may be on is no thinner than that of a heterosexual adulterer. 😊

“And The Lord said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous” (Genesis 18:20 KJV)

“Then The Lord rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from The Lord out of heaven; And He overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.” (Genesis 19:24-25 KJV)

I’m not sure what their sins where to be honest, but I’m sure they exist here in America today.

The sins of Sodom are listed in the writings of some of the prophets.

Yes, and people were so wicked they wanted to rape the Angels, they weren’t even interested in Lot’s daughters, even when Lot offered his daughters to them.

Not sure what that has to do with the sins of Sodom being detailed in the writings of the prophets. Did you intend to reply to my post?

I try to live a good christian life for the most part, so am I? I believe i’m not but I would appreciate your take on the matter:)
If you turn away from the sin, ask God to forgive you, and accept Jesus into your heart, you will not, but if you continue and don’t allow Jesus to come in, you may. THis is what scriptures say, not me.

If you want to ask Jesus into your heart, say this prayer: Jesus, I believe you died for my sins, please forgive me. I totally repent (turn away from sin) and accept You into my heart. Please come into my heart. In the name of Jesus. Thank you, Lord!! P.S. Please help me to love You with ALL of my heart!

That doesn’t mean we will never sin, but if we are sorry and ask for forgivness and turn away from sin, we will be forgiven. Please read John 3:16 and the various verses on forgiveness.

The fact is we have abolutely no idea where someone is destined to go. We don’t know God’s plan for anyone else let alone for ourselves. So my answer is silence. There is no yes or no in answer to the OPs question. Those who have it all figured out either direction must be gods but since you aren’t I’ll close my ears to this whole thread.
Read what the bible says if you don’t accept Christ into your heart and then get carried away with your own sin. Not my words, but His.

We don’t know that they haven’t accepted Chirst and are repentant on a daily basis yet haven’t left the sin. IOW, we don;t know who goes to hell and to state unequivocally that someone is going there is to usurp the power of God.

Repent means to turn away from the sin, so if they haven’t left the sin, they aren’t repentant, just to clear that up. Scripture says that if you don’t believe that He died for your sins and that He is the son of God, both God and man, and if you don’t accept Him into Your heart, you will not go to heaven. Again, it’s written in scriptures, not my words. It is true that we don’t know who goes to heaven and who doesn’t because we don’t know if the person has accepted Him into their heart or not. That is the main point, if we have accepted Him into our heart.

Why can’t we leave it at that???.for God to judge… :o

And it is possible to accept Christ and still be in sin. After all we are all in some sin or another even though we have accepted Christ.

Right, we all sin, but we are called to turn away from perpetual sin, not live a life of a certain sin if we know it is wrong. And when we do sin, we can be forgiven if we ask for it, but then we need to turn away from the sin. That is the crux, to turn away from it. For some, it is a struggle, but we need to ask God for His help and grace to turn away, and He will supply it.

Just to reiterate, I will not tell you you are destined for hell. I can’t read your soul and therefore have no knowledge of where you are destined for. I pray you go to heaven regardless of whatever lifestyle you choose. I think that is a more Christian response.

Yes, I agree, we do not know if the person has accepted Christ or not whether he will go to heaven or not, no one knows. There are certain scriptures which give the conditions one will not go to heaven, and the main one is not accepting Christ into your heart. If you believe in God, you will believe His Word, and if you have the Holy Spirit living in you, you will know the Truth of His word.

If we are deliberately leading a sinful lifestyle knowing it is wrong, this is not good. There are plenty of scriptures that speak about this. Deliberate sin like leading a lifestyle that is sinful when we know better is different than sinning once in awhile and asking for forgiveness. When we ask for forgiveness, we are called to turn away from the sin. Like he told the adulterous woman, “Go and sin no more”.

Mayb this will be an answer you can rest in…I think all flesh has an unpleasing smell to God’s nostrils. I don’t think we are our bodies… We will willfully shed those one day.
Prophacy said “this in question” would happen one day… if it happens it has to be a body doing it. Hate it had to be yours. Do something couragious to show your faith and challenge God at his word that he will take care of you…like drop insurance. He will probably deliver you from the other. It is obvious you cant correct your behavior or you would have. I don’t think there will even be paring up then, all these old things will be remembered no more.
Hope is one of the things that remain. So hope that your place in the kingdom will not be rated on something that he spoke into being through his prophacy that it would come to pass. Make sure the blood of “The Lamb is smeared over your door post.” I sure am hoping it to cause the death angel to pass over me.
I think it was coragious to ask this question. A person can be born both (i saw it in a college anatomy book) the doc decides which to make um. these things probably happen because of some sin man did in the past…I think buck teeth came from intermarrying royalty? I don’t know if this is part to the 10 commandments. I think it is a mutation that would happen at the end when satan comes to his fullness… In away it makes one wonder if we should be inviting these things to come on… cause these things have to happen before The Kingdom can come. We are praying for God’s Kingdom to Come so actually we are praying for these things to come cause the word says they will come before the Kingdom Comes. ???

Oh wow…That’s a biggie. If you turn from the act of homosexual sex and become celibate? I’m not even sure. You would have to REALLY want to change your ways, otherwise you are in the same boat as you were in before- a sinking one.

The act of sodomy is a sin. The act of adultery is a sin. God wants better for you than just the sins of lust, unrestrained and unhealthy sexual acts, and the separation from Him after you pass into the next life.

Make the God’s honest effort and DO stop having adulterous and homosexual relations.Otherwise all of your efforts in all other areas will amount to 0.

And another thing to consider…if you can’t do this for God…do it for yourself. None of us at CAF wants to see you end up with AIDS or any other STD that can kill you.

Your Sister in Christ,
mary1173

PS.
And YES oral sex can lead to catching AIDS.
