It’s fun to joke and all, but if truly intelligent aliens from another galaxy showed up on Earth, the results would be chaos for the religious community. Namely, one group would still try to say "Well God created the Aliens too, even though if the Aliens (like in Prometheus, could PROVE they created us/have another “God”, etc…) The other group would think the Aliens are Satan and his demons in person. Still, another group would be open to the theoretical possibility that we are not alone and that maybe our, or other religions are indeed Wrong, which is impossible for many of those true faithful to even conveive of. And then you’d have the whole sci-fi group who would be sure the Aliens are here to destroy/abduct us. I would hope it would rather be more like Star Trek First Contact where we could start a mutual friendship. (Although I doubt it)
