Will pray for you.

St. Thomas, patron of doubters, pray for us!

Prayer for Unbelievers

O God, the everlasting Creator of all things, remember that the souls of unbelievers were made by Thee and formed in Thine own image and likeness. Remember that Jesus, Thy Son, endured a most bitter death for their salvation. Permit not, I beseech Thee, O Lord, that Thy Son should be any longer despised by unbelievers, but do Thou graciously accept the prayers of holy men and of the Church, the Spouse of Thy most holy Son, and be mindful of Thy mercy. May they forget their idolatry and unbelief, and grant that they too may some day know Him whom Thou hast sent, the Lord Jesus Christ, who is our Salvation, our Life and Resurrection, by whom we have been saved and delivered, to whom be glory for endless ages. Amen.

I’ll pray for you in a few minutes, after I post this. But what I want to add is this: you are feeling torn for a reason. I can fully appreciate where you’re coming from. I’m going through a really rough patch right now too, have been for a while. I feel like I’m on the edge of some deep hole- one wrong step and I’ll lose my grip and my faith. If you’re worried that you may be wrong, try to pray a little every day. Just an Our Father here, or a Hail Mary. If you can’t muster that up- take deep breaths and meditate on Jesus’s name. Or just have a conversation with Him in your mind. Every little bit helps. Stop looking for reasons NOT to believe in Him, look for reasons to believe instead. Proof of His existence is all around us every day.

You are being tested.

You mentionned that you’ve had experiences that can be explained no other way than by God. Miracles. Hold on to those tightly. They may not happen often, or to everyone- they may never happen again- but they are a gift that keeps on giving. I draw from my own experiences all the time forstrength. The feelings they lit inside of my heart when thwy happened are what help me push the darkness away when I get worried.

I also recommend reading “Get us out of here”, by Nikki Schultz. That book changed my life years ago.

God bless you and keep you safe

Oh dear, it sounds like you bear a burden. Let go and let God in ! Praying for you-

Here is a prayer I pray when I find it so difficult to concentrate and think clearly:

The Jesus Prayer :

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner!

O Holy Spirit, sweet Guest of my soul, abide in me and grant that I may ever abide in Thee.

For you-
Hail Mary Full of Grace, the Lord is with Thee! Blessed art thou amongst women and Blessed is the Fruit of thy Womb Jesus! Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come! Thy Will be done on earth as it is in heaven! Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Praying for God’s grace in your life to open your heart and your eyes to Him. God became man so that man could share in God’s divine life.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Lord, I pray with the intentions of this individual. May you guide this person’s heart to you. Amen.

Praying for you!

Sounds similarish to my own past struggles. I will pray for you…

Faith,
Code:
Either you got it or you don't ,,
Simple as that,
Obviously you Got it otherwise you wouldn’t be wasting your time reading this would you ?
Obviously you have a small candle of light burning in the darkness of your inner self,
👍
I’d like to give a little example, I was truly Blessed with the experience of visiting ,
Saint Pauls outside the wall in Rome , I walk down steps to his alter & tomb ,
I said a couple short prayers, then walked up the steps, for about a full second or two,
Something hit me emotionally ,I wanted to burst in tears ,I stood still and didn’t know what to think, something took me in and enveloped me
Code:
 Peace
I can so relate to this. A few years ago, a Bishop had rocked my faith. He had refused me absolution- sending me off with his Blessing- because of my sinful living arrangement (which is being rectified now). I continued going to Sunday mass, but refrained from receiving. A few weeks after this confession (attempt)… after going up for a blessing instead of receiving… no sooner had I gotten back to my pew the tears started flowing from my face. I had absolutely no warning of their coming, but it took everything I had to control the sobs that wanted to burst forth. I was so heart broken at not being able to receive. So sad that everyone else could- and I couldn’t. I felt so utterly alone and broken. It didn’t take me long after that to right my wrongs and go back for absolution from that same Bishop. The Bishop was so comforting, he told me that what I had received that day was a gift from the Holy Spirit, it was a re-baptism.

I’ve stumbled many times since then, but I’ve finally got my life on track now… although i’m still plagued with terrible doubts.

Our Father who art in heaven
Hallowed be thy name
Thy kingdom come
Thy will be done
On earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread
Forgive us our trespasses
As we forgive those who trespass against us
Lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil
amen

Yeah, I used to frequent these boards when I was Catholic, so I figured I’d return for conversation if for nothing else. I just feel like neither atheism or theism make sense. I can’t see the universe not having a creator, but I can’t see it having a perfect or omnibenevolent one either. To me the facts would best be accounted for by something or someone super powerful but not necessarily all good or perfect.

Keeping you in my prayers especially in the divine mercy and the Rosary. Ask in prayer for the gift of faith.

Prayers answered! I went back to being a panentheist.I feel like the highest mystical states in every religion arrive at the conclusion that all is One (aka all is created ex deo).

Continuing to pray on your behalf, preferably until it says ‘catholic’ on your religious affiliation line…😃

St. Thérèse of Liseux Prayer From “Story of A Soul”

May today there be peace within.
May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.
May you use those gifts that you have received,
and pass on the love that has been given to you.
May you be content knowing you are a child of God.
Let this presence settle into your bones,
and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise, and love.
It is there for each and every one of us.

Amen.

Lord, thank you that you are with me right now.
Your love surpasses all fear.
I give you the anxiety I feel.
I surrender all my worries to you.
Clear my mind;
Calm my heart;
Still my Spirit;
Relax my being, that, I may
always glorify you in everything
I write, speak and do.

Amen.

Jesus, Help Me

In every need let me come to Thee with humble trust, saying,
Jesus, help me!

In all my doubts, perplexities, and temptations,
Jesus, help me!

In hours of loneliness, weariness and trials,
Jesus, help me!

In the failure of my plans and hopes; in disappointments, troubles and sorrows,
Jesus, help me!

When my heart is cast down by failure, at seeing no good come from my efforts,
Jesus, help me!

When others fail me, and Thy grace alone can assist me,
Jesus, help me!

When I throw myself on Thy tender love as Father and Savior,
Jesus, help me!

When I feel impatient, and my cross irritates me,
Jesus, help me!

When sickness and loneliness overcome me,
Jesus, help me!

Always, in weakness, falls and shortcomings of every kind,
Jesus, help me and never forsake me.

Thank You, dear Lord Jesus.

Amen.

Sweet Heart of Jesus, be my love.
Sweet Heart of my Jesus, grant that I may always love You more.
Heart of Jesus, burning with love for us, set our hearts on fire with love of You.
Jesus, meek and humble of heart, make our hearts like Your Heart.

Amen.

Prayers said. All will be well. Do not fear, the Lord is protecting you.
Do not be lonely, your guardian angel is beside you.
Be comforted, Mother will watch over you, and the
Holy Spirit will guide you.

Amen.

Prayer Against Depression
………….By St Ignatius of Loyola

O Christ Jesus
When all is darkness
And we feel our weakness and helplessness,
Give us the sense of Your Presence,
Your Love and Your Strength.
Help us to have perfect trust
In Your protecting love
And strengthening power,
So that nothing may frighten or worry us,
For, living close to You,
We shall see Your Hand,
Your Purpose, Your Will through all things.

Amen.

Let Nothing Disturb You

Let nothing disturb you,
Let nothing frighten you,
All things are passing away:
God never changes.

Patience,
Obtains all things,
Whoever has God
Lacks nothing:
God alone suffices.

Santa Teresa de Jesús
(Santa Teresa de Ávila)

Amen.

**
My Jesus,
I believe that You are
present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things, and
I desire to receive You into my soul.
**Since I cannot at this moment receive
You sacramentally, come at least spiritually
into my heart. I embrace You
as if You were already there and
unite myself wholly to You.
Never permit me to be separated
from You.

Amen.

Piarist fathers have taught this short act of
Spiritual Communion, popularized by St. Josemaria Escriva:

I wish, Lord, to receive You with the purity, humility and
devotion with which Your most holy Mother received You, with the
spirit and fervour of the saints.

Amen.

**
Thank You dear Lord Jesus, always and
everywhere, for everything.

Amen.

† **

Jesus, I trust in You.

Amen.

❤️

Still praying for you -

Soul of Christ, sanctify me.
Body of Christ save me.
Blood of Christ inebriate me.
Water from the side of Christ, wash me.
Passion of Christ, strengthen me.

O Good Jesus hear me.
Within Your wounds, shelter me.
Never permit me to be separated from You.

From the evil one, protect me.
In the hour of my death call me.
And bid me come to You.
That with Your saints I may praise You, forever and ever. Amen.

O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fount of mercy for us, I trust in You!

Jesus, I trust in You!

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, I trust in You!

Amen.
