I’m just wondering in general are men attracted to women who are built? My dream is to get into bodybuilding however I’ve been told by various men and women that men will not be attracted to me if I have muscles and a six pack. I’m currently 5-2 and 170 lbs. I started dieting last month and going to the gym so I’m just curious what are your thoughts everyone? I guess what I’m seeking is opinion and advice thank you and God bless.

Yes, many men will find that attractive, usually men who are into fitness or sports themselves.

Im a younger guy…

At the risk of sounding weird, I like girls who are fit.
However, “fit” and “professional female bodybuilder” are two very different physiques, and honestly, the second grosses me out- whether its a guy or a girl

Honestly, bodybuilding is really unhealthy. Have you spoken to actual coaches and medical health professionals? This is far more important than what guys think.

Some guys don’t want women to cut their hair short…don’t go off of what they think.

Worrying about what other people will think of you is a pretty bad reason to turn away from your dreams.

But yes, men will find you attractive. I’ll spare example images from the internet. But rest assured you’ll be alright.

As said before, there is a difference between a high level of fitness and bodybuilding to a professional extent. The OP needs to explain what she means.

Muscles are heavy, they put weight on.
We should be fit, but not glorify our bodies.

If you are doing this to attract men, you are likely to attract the wrong type. You dont want to go into a gym and be ogled from a Catholic perspective.

Do you want to enter competitions?

The default for body building is vanity. Something to ponder. What about soul building instead? Now that’s a concept that is attractive to all.

Yuck… Body sculpting or shaping is much more Nirmal and attractive.

Bodybuilding is rather vain. Lots of steroids nowadays too. Having a good BMI, appropriate body fat percentage, and being generally fit is sufficient.

Exactly. The difference between being fit, and even a bit muscular, versus being a full blown bodybuilder is immense.

My sister was into competitive Body Sculpting or whatever you call it. I didn’t so much have a problem with it but at competition there was an exceptional lack of modesty.

Can you clarify what you want to do? General fitness, or competitive bodybuilding…?

What’s the difference between bodybuilding and body sculpting?

That female bodybuilder is (if not photoshopped) displaying and flexing. She wouldn’t look like that at rest. I mean, here is a female bodybuilder who is pretty “jacked” and she looks just very fit when she isn’t flexing. I’ll link it because the photo is huge and I don’t want to run the screen. https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-pn71-PZi...3Z62-EiNqnAxSACLcB/s1600/Tessa+Barresi+10.jpg

Your photo is clearly someone older, who has been doing it for a long long time. It depends on what the OPs goal is…

Google images can be deceiving.

I’ll change it to something more realistic.

I would prefer not to post photos. Women who do body sculpting or shaping have a much more normal physique.
