The right man will!

I trained as an amateur bodybuilder for 6 years (male), and I had plenty of positive comments from men and women. I didn’t get into bodybuilding for anyone but myself. I slowly acquired a home gym so I could workout when I needed to and in peace. It was me, the iron and the mirror. I loved it. I could have cared less what anyone thought of how I looked.

I’m just wondering in general are men attracted to women who are built? My dream is to get into bodybuilding however I’ve been told by various men and women that men will not be attracted to me if I have muscles and a six pack. I’m currently 5-2 and 170 lbs. I started dieting last month and going to the gym so I’m just curious what are your thoughts everyone? I guess what I’m seeking is opinion and advice thank you and God bless.
Couple of thoughts
  • getting fit and healthy is such a gift to yourself!
  • It’s very hard for women to go from looking fit to looking bulked. Even the pros don’t have a six pack most of the time, they have to ‘cut’ to make it show for the competition
  • You’ll need to find a guy that does like/respect what you do. He’ll probably be a gym rat as well.

I think Julia Vins looks great with a fitness model type physique. I am not a fan of her body builder look but I think if that is really how you want to look, some men will still like you. The thing is I do not think women are meant to get that big naturally. I think there is a good chance some performance enhancing drugs might be involved when a woman looks like that. That is something that I am certain would fall under the category of grave matter in the majority of circumstances.

I say do what you want, get as big as you want but do it naturally only. You can still look great. Check out “Heba Ali” she is gorgeous, super strong and has a great body. A little bigger than the fitness model look but a lot more appealing that the “woman body builder look”.

It’s one thing to get to a fitness model look like some one can find on Daily Mail now and then. A woman can do that with nothing more than discipline, diet and working out, with little in the way of vitamins and supplements. It helps to have decent genes but there is still a lot that is under one’s control. It’s quite another order of magnitude to get to the body builder stage. Would really have to life the life as a male bodybuilder does. Just my opinion, I think all women bodybuilders are taking testosterone or other steroids. While it is their choice, I don’t think that is safe. Also the extra muscles make them less attractive to me.
