I used to use an example for multiple regression in my statistics classes where one of the variables was the age of the fruitcake in centuries . . .

You fail to see the philosophical nuances of this thread. If you try to refrain from thinking about this thread you will have no choice but to think about it. And the only reason you posted is because someone told you to refrain. This whole thread is an exercise in mind control.

I disagree! At first glance, refraining might appear to be a non-action, simply the absence of action, but on closer consideration it is understood to be an active choice.

Therefore, please continue to refrain!
