I'm having serious doubts

Most Archaeologists don’t believe the Bible.
That is a big claim, Bruce, what do you have to back this up?
I could point to the myriad archaeologists who have worked in the Holy Land and have firm belief in the Hebrew Bible, and then those who also have firm belief in the New Testament.

Are you in school? If so, that explains the attacks on the faith. If not - well, even if you are, all of these attacks originate in the spiritual realm, as there is one who does not want you to believe.

Tell you what: If you are in school, seek out a Newman Center. If not, go to your local parish - does not matter if you are Catholic or not. Then, find the Tabernacle. If you can go during the hours of Eucharistic Adoration, all the better!

Spend time with Christ in His Sacramental presence. Just know that He is present, even if you have trouble believing. Sit, pray, contemplate him. Read something that builds up your faith rather than tearing it down.

Tell our Eucharistic Lord that you have grave doubts. Then, be as patient with Him as He has been with you. As Fr. Benedict Groeschel†, C.F.R. taught:
“You may spend your life looking forward to it, or you may spend your life looking back on it, but when you are aware that He is there, you will be changed.”
There is no better place on earth for the Christian, either struggling or strong, than our Savior’s presence.

My statement was only slightly overstated. I worked on a dissertation on Biblical Chronology and doing the research I read about 200 books on Archaeologists and every book on chronology I could find maybe 50 more. There is no problem with New Testament Chronology. If you read my article you will find that in almost every period (which is what caused the original posters query), they say there is almost no evidence. They see no evidence of 2million people leaving Egypt at the exodus, they see no evidence of the Plagues. No evidence of Israel in the wilderness. No evidence of the Conquest. No Evidence of Solomon’s wealth and great kingdom. The evidence found is a seal here or there. It is because their chronology is so wrong that these issues come up. Just read W. Dever, A. Mazar, K. Kenyon, etc. They support the Bible in little ways but not the big picture the Bible presents.
Grace and peace,
Bruce

If you were the only person on this earth, Jesus would have died for you.

If I recall correctly, the lack of evidence is evidence in itself. Israelites being in Egypt did happen, then where did they go? As a King who would be soundly defeated by an unknowing God, they would not record their shame. Absolutely nothing was recorded about the Israelites, thus showing something miraculous happened and Pharaoh wanted to hide it.

There’s also evidence of the Jewish recordings being true because real history contains failures while false history only shows it in positive light. Since the Israelites recorded or kept their tradition with all of their failures, their testimony can be claimed to be more true because who, by logic, wants to be shown as failures?
