I wonder if you Catholics even understand the way Pagans see you! You would be amazed, We all respect you, but very few will let the beast into their hearts. I will try not to speak for all, but I know that I see the basic believes in Catholicism are good, they try to spread love and peace amounst fellow man. Yet they start wars, alienate whole peoples and destroy lives through corruptions within the Church. They say that God si for America, and they believe that to be true. If God is specifcally for America, then he is Specifically against everyone else.
A common between many religions is love. I am not sure who had discussed with you about God, America, and Catholic but you are definitely wrongly informed or misunderstand about them.

Ill just let you sit on the knowledge that I am 17, male. I have a boyfriend, whom I love and do naughty things to in public settings. I strongly dislike the Catholic church in that they have kept me down, and my strong Pagan ties have given me stablilty and strength through the hardest of times. All without God, Jesus, or Jehovah, bet you didn’t know that was possible.

May be wondering why a Pagan is coming onto a Catholic forum, well… I’m not begging for my soul, I’m returning the favor. Too many Catholic visit the Pagan forum and tell us what sinners and heathens we are. In fact many of us aren’t Heathen in that, Heathen is a completely unique spiritual path, like druidism, Witchcraft, etc.

On that note, I open the floor to you all, and finger my pentacle lovingly as I wait for responses.
I do have to ask a question. Are the rest of your friends there in Starbucks enjoying this? I mean, this is a gag, right? Are you sitting there around your laptop with Tony Tonguestud, Nancy Nipplerings, and Mr. “I’d pierce my Rottweiler if I could” just yukking it up and waiting for any serious response? You’ve come to the wrong place. You want to go to the Westboro Baptist Church website and post your invitation. Believe me, you’ll get all the venom you want.
As to a response. You’re 17, claim to be gay and in your face about it, and believe in nothing but your own omnipotence. I really couldn’t find anything about which to converse of a serious nature. We live in two different worlds. I will just say welcome, have fun, and shalom.

Have you not read the signs! litterally signs along high ways, God bless american GodUSAves all, back when I was christian, my youth pastor told me a story, he went to the US (I’m not in the USA) and he told me that the Priest and pastors down there spoke like that. God is for America, God will save our great land.

My youth pastor was thrown out of the Church when he told the pastor after the cermon that God doesn’t pick sides, God is for everyone.

True story, I know pehaps you may not believe me, but the words I speak are true.

Also some one in the thread said I was ignorant of Catholic and Christian ways, I am in a Catholic school where we celebrate and pray daily, (well they do, I don’t prey with them, but I have to go to the celebrations) I was raised Chrisitan by my mother, who is still very Christian. I went to Baptist camp until a year ago! I am nto ignorant, I knwo both sides of the coin.
Please improve your grammar and spelling, then perhaps you won’t be considered so ignorant:rotfl:

Well, there are about 300 million Americans, and there are about 6 billion people on earth, including about 1 billion Chinese and 1 billion Indians. Jesus was a Jew. The Vatican is in Italy.

Some Americans forget that there is a whole world outside their country.

I am not a satanist, I am mildly offended, ish. I don’t really care, it is what media has portrayed. I am no Satanist, and hold my action to high moral standards. I am no witch, but my specific path is of no consiquence. What matters is the basic message.

Hello welcome,

I don not understand why you are so defensive. Every post on here
has been welcoming, a sharing of person history and concerns. You state that you are pagan and I will assume from the mention of Odin that you follow that of the Norse religion? also you speak of paganism as a unified set of beliefs but there are numerous different pagan religions. Also no one said you were a satanist they only offered a warring to watch for as many things wrapped in pretty paper can be very harmful…

I’d first of all like to say there are differences between paganism and satanism, as far as I know pagans don’t even believe in Satan, you can’t really compare the two. Secondly, hello 🙂 I’d like to say, thank you to those of you who have not reacted with hostility to Pagan Fury, to me it seems he came looking for conflict (but that might just be me) and another thank you to those who have not basically said “Thats wrong, our way is right thats that” I myself am not YET a pagan, though I will be. And let me say now don’t bother trying to “make me see the truth” or anything of the sort, I’ll believe what I want, you believe what you want, lets just leave that at that. Finally (sorry for the essay) I want to say, I was pleasantly surprised by how people first responded to this post, though things seem to have degraded now slightly 😛 thats all I had to say 🙂

OH goodness an other wannabee boaster. (lol)

Well, the most encouraging thing in all of this is that the things Pagan doesn’t like have nothing to do with actual Catholic teachings, but things that people (some Catholics and some not) have said or done.

Reminding one again of Bishop Sheen’s observation that few people actually hate the real Church, but rather what they mistakenly think that the Church teaches.

Peace.

There is no darkness around me, I am walking in light, but your eyes can’t see it, your high and mighty attitude has closed them.

I am gay, **** it, I don’t need to justify myself.

I also have friends, they understand my take on this.

I agree that perhaps at times I may look and or sound ignorant, i am aware that what I am saying may be at times hipocritical. I am also aware of the language in which I am speaking I have taken a university level english course in high school, the grammar is a result of furious typing, trying to respond.

i know that I am not perfect, I know even Paganism has a less then desirable past, but I also know that this is no gag. I am serious, my first post was edgy to prevoke a response. I will not explain who Odin is, he should not be the focus of this topic.

I am not omnipotent as you claim I simply am conveying a point, I am sorry that you feel that way.

I know you think I came just for a fight, to some essence I have, but there is more to it which you will not understand, and so that ends that.

Again I am not trying to sound arrogant, I am well cultured and well read, my post may sound a little dumbed down, prehaps so the average redneck on this forum could understand.

As the Beatles sang,

“When I find myself in times of trouble
Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
And in my hour of darkness
She is standing right in front of me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
Let it be, let it be.
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be.”

I’m non-Catholic, by the way.

I find it interesting that you come openly showing your contempt for Catholics and the church and flaunt your lifestyle. Not a condemnation, just an observation. Though you have stated your reason for being here, I wonder if there isn’t some part of you that longs for something more to come of it.

Be aware that paganism *can be *an introductory phase leading to Satanism. If you start practicing rituals and spells (you didn’t mention what kind of “pagan” you are) you may find yourself enamored with it and wanting more. I encourage you to not follow that path.

Paganism may help you rationalize your outward behavior and attitude, but I hope that at some point you reconsider your relationship with God and seek purity and God’s peace in your life.
As you finger your pentacle with combat on your mind, I finger my St. Michael pendant and send you peace and blessings.

Peace…

Nice quote, but I would like to mention the Beatles were most likely on Acid.

Yes, I noticed that, too. The things he lists as being bothersome to him are things found in evangelical-type churches. It’s kind of hard to get all angry and argumentative with what seems like a confused kid.

You are so far gone there is little to no hope for you. You have rejected God and goodness. You will pay for the rest of eternity for your decision. The bible tells us what to do with such, we will shake the dust from our feet and leave you to yourself. Now you may do the same.
Ricko dont be silly, he is a silly young kid with too much time on his hand and not enough formation. He is not “so far gone” Jesus loves him and has him in His beautiful sights. this “pagan” gentleman is looking for attention and silly responses:rolleyes: and the best thing to do is not give him silly responses.🤷

Hi Pagan Fury,

Welcome to the forum! I do have a question for you. Have you told your parents about your boyfriend and are they okay with it?

Blessings,
Rocky

PF,

I spoke of the darkness as an opportunity for you to see it and feel it. I feel darkness and see it when I come across it. I didn’t say it was “in” you, but around you. Darkness sometimes surrounds me, but for different reasons. I have no high and mighty attitude.

You cannot walk in darkness and live in the light. They are mutually exclusive. When I speak of darkness I don’t speak of it as lack of intelligence or vision. I speak of it as spiritual darkness. I know the path of spiritual darkness.

I never mentioned your homosexuality as part of that darkness or condemned you for it. I have good friends who are gay and I don’t shun them for it or make them feel as though they have to justify themselves to me. I accept them and love them regardless.

But, since you are so hostile to the idea, I wonder if that’s what is keeping you from God? If so, I have news for you. God still loves you and expects his followers to love you also.

Peace…

Hey Pagan fury, Would it be ok to be your friend, or would your Pagan friends reject me because I am Catholic? How does that social issue work out?

Gabriel

Though that question was directed at pagan fury I would also like to throw in an answer. I know many pagans, and very few of them would hold your choice to be a catholic against you in any way, so long as you yourself did not try to undermine their beliefs. That said of course their are people who might not except you because of your beliefs, but after all this minority of people who wont tolerate other peoples beliefs are present in every religion

Any friend of Jesus must preach against paganism.

You see? that is the kind of person they would not want to know, it works the same way as this. Would you want me to come here and start saying “You are all wrong!”? No you wouldn’t, and I wouldn’t do that because I think everyone should happily believe what they want without threat of interferance. Think of it as basic manners, be polite and fair towards people and they should react politely and fairly to you

That is the stuff I’m talking about! the most recent posts, I am not some confused little child, how dare you. I am a man who has fought and run for his life. I have told my parents that I’m gay, it was hard for them but they love me too much to let that get in the way. When I told them I was Pagan however, my mother being Christian almost lost it.

I don’t have to tell you that she spent many a hour telling me how wrong I was, how everything she was taught told her to reject me, for being completely against her religion.

I swear to your God, the first one to say that this thread, or my religion steams from family/ life issues will get a bible so far up their ***.

I am trying to stay civilized, but it is so hard when I am looked down upon and thought to be a child. I am not confused.

The days in my youth spent crying because I was gay and God hates fags, that, THAT MY FRIENDS was fear and confusion. The warm night and happy days under the glow of the Goddess are what I now have, comfort, Strength. I am no longer weakened, frightened or scared. This is me and I am Pagan. This like many things you cannot change and your condescending attitude and lack of respect for another person sicken me.

I regret that I would not like to be your friend. No personal offense to you but I don’t know you and I didn’t come looking for friends.

Yes, the pagans would accept you but I have been explicitly asked, and I agree with the thought, that I should not deffer to any of them. Also the friends I spoke of are regular heterosexual people at my school. They are not Pagan, they know me however and support me because they know me and the good person I am.

I break my code of ethics by being here, and making this thread. But AGAIN, I have my reasons, this is something I must do and endure.
