Brothers and sisters,

The holiday season is always rough, as my family usually has a couple of deaths around this time for whatever reason. None this year (thank God), but really missing grandparents, two of my children, and several others. I know others have it much worse, but it’s still getting to me.

I fail at living my faith constantly. I love Confession and Penance. Prayer is dear to me. And, of course, the Holy Eucharist. I still end up sinning more often than growing in holiness, despite all these blessings and the treasured writings of various saints.

I’m terrified of losing my wife and son, of not being able to provide for them. I was a terrible sinner before conversion and I’m struggling toward holiness one rosary and akathist at a time. What if I can’t be a real Christian father to my beloved little son? What if he’s inspired to evil by me because I’m such a hypocrite?

Apologies for the self-pitying rant. Please spare some prayers for your unworthy brother, if it help. Sometimes it’s all too much.

May Christ and Our Lady bless all of you, with all the Saints and Angels.

Said a Hail Mary for you.

One of my confessors told me that when we fall down and sin repeatedly, God is showing us that we cannot do anything ourselves just on our own, that we accomplish things only through God. Maybe put your struggles in God’s hands, give yourself over to him, tell him you can’t do it alone and can only do things through Him, and be at peace.

Father bless this man for we are all sinners and need Jesus. May we be strong followers of Christ and help us get on our feet when we fall. In your name, Jesus amen!

Hail Mary
Full of grace
The Lord is with Thee.
Blessed art Thou amongst women,
and blessed is the fruit of Thy womb,
Jesus
Holy Mary
Mother of God,
Pray for us sinners,
Now and at the hour of death, Amen.

For your spirit and family…
Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy name.
Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day, our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not, into temptation but deliver us from evil, Amen

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Prayer to Our Lady of Mental Peace

O Lady of Mental Peace,
Mother of Tranquility
and Mother of Hope,
look upon Athanasius_Mary in this time
of weakness and unrest.

Teach her searching heart
to know that God’s Love
for her is unchanging and
unchangeable, and, that
true human love can only
begin and grow by touching
His Love.

Let your gentle Peace -
which this world cannot give
  • be always with her.
And, help her to bring this
    same Peace into the lives
    of others.
Our Lady of Mental Peace,
  • Pray for us!
    Amen.
Jesus, Help Me!

In every need let me come to You with humble trust,
saying:
Jesus, help me!
In all my doubts, perplexities, and temptations:
Jesus, help me!
In hours of loneliness, weariness and trials:
Jesus, help me!
In the failure of my plans and hopes, in disappointments,
troubles and sorrows:
Jesus, help me!
When others fail me, and Your Grace alone can assist me:
Jesus, help me!
When I throw myself on Your tender Love as Savior:
Jesus, help me!
When my heart is cast down by failure, at seeing no good
come from my efforts:
Jesus, help me!
When I feel impatient, and my cross irritates me:
Jesus, help me!
When I am ill, and my head and hands cannot work and
I am lonely:
Jesus, help me!

Always, always, in spite of weakness, falls and short-
comings of every kind:
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, help me and never forsake me!

Amen

May Our Lord and Our Lady bless and sustain you, my brothers and sisters.

Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Prayed that GOD would always guide you in your journey towards spiritual perfection, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

I will include you in my Divine Mercy Chaplet prayers for about a month. GOD bless!

Praying for you and your family

Philippians 4:6-7 : Have no anxiety about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will keep your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

God bless you all. I’m thankful for this forum and the wonderful brothers and sisters here. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone.
