sorry, everybody, I double-posted
I will say a prayer for you. I will also leave you with this thoughtā¦the Protestant faith is man madeā¦completely. A man separated himself from the Church to start his own. I would have trouble following a man, over God. The Pope is following Jesusā ordaining Peterā¦The Pope didnāt start Catholicism, for example. He merely is a succession of Popes dating back to Peter.Im thinking of leaving the catholic church for the protestant, iv done a lot of thinking. We have statues of Jesus and saints that we pray to when we have issues. THERE IS EVEN ONE FOR BALDNESS!
Maybe its cause the roman catholic church is roman. The romans accepted God, but they couldnt let go of polytheism and several Gods, maybe thats why we have saints?
Protestants uses the bible, Gods word. All arguments for catholism seems to come from other catholics.
I have been reading through this thread and thought I would start here. You state bible only but you than you say that satan deceives many, which is true but we know that he will never prevail over the one true Church (which is stated in the bible). The Church which is started by Our Lord Himself. He alone gave the popes the authority to bind and lose, which is what you are having a problem with.Cause Satan decieves many, he can even come in the form of angelsā¦
All over the world people see the virgin mother. She has SHRINES! Iv visited one of them in turkey! They glorify her! IDOLTARY!
Lady of the roses, Ishtar, Afrodite, Satan, it has many namesā¦
Jesus told the thief that was crucified with Him āthis day you shall be with me in paradiseā. Should we not take His word for it? When Moses and Elijah appeared to Jesus during the transfiguration, how did they do that? You are right that only God decides who is in heaven, but He also reveals this to us, so that we can commune with the saints. How do we know they are in heaven? God is the only dudge, only he can say who went to heaven or not, If a man such as the pope unites the church its good, no cult becomes created.
But when he play God and say that a special persion is in heaven its blasphemy
Well, you are all over the place. IF you read the bible St Paul called himself a spiritual father to Timothy, what about father Abraham. Or even better what do you call your own father?CATHOLIC TRADITION - Call priests father, e.g., Father McKinley.
WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS -
Matthew 23:9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.
It never ends!
OK, Doberman. Everytime you throw out another complaint and itās refuted, you come back with another complaint. So can we assume that weāve answered your questions to your satisfaction since youāre not continuing along each complaint.Im getting to much posts than i can handle. But about the protestant church. Martin Luther didnt want to seperate the church. He belived in the vatican.
Better check again. The popeās sinful life (are you sure you have the right papal period?) was not at question. It began with indulgences and centered all around authority. Martin Luther himself said that one can have sex 1000 times a day and still get to heaven. Why should he question the popes actions? This doesnāt make sense. The reason was that the popes and monks had sex, they sinned all the time. He attacked the people in the church.
The Kingdom of God is like a mustard seed. You do the math. The Catholic Church (most Catholics use capital āCā when referring to mother Church, BTW) is a living, breathing, entity. Sheās the Body of Christ. Of course She is not the same as She was. Sheās much, much more!!!The catholic church is not the same as it was.
??? I think you are mis-reading the Muslim Faith with this statement.Muslims that are terrorists are the real muslims. The āsecularā muslims are much like most christians. Choose their own laws and scriptures from the bible.
I agree. I think there is something cultish about this.So folks this is serious, all funny quips aside. Doberman along with a slew of others are being duped.
Jesus wa God, the pope is not God, and why communicate with saints? We have God.Jesus told the thief that was crucified with Him āthis day you shall be with me in paradiseā. Should we not take His word for it? When Moses and Elijah appeared to Jesus during the transfiguration, how did they do that? You are right that only God decides who is in heaven, but He also reveals this to us, so that we can commune with the saints.
May I ask you this question ⦠are you a cradle Catholic or you are a convert? According to what questions you ask, you seem to know less about Catholic faith.Jesus wa God, the pope is not God, and why communicate with saints? We have God.
Iām guessing heās SDA, just a feelingā¦May I ask you this question ⦠are you a cradle Catholic or you are a convert? According to what questions you ask, you seem to know less about Catholic faith.
Thanks!
The Catholic Church gave the world the Bible, so weāre not afraid of it! As a former Evangelical Protestant, I will pray that you do not do leave the Church that Jesus founded. How well do you really know the Catholic faith? A LOT of cradle Catholics fall for what I call āThe Protestant sucker punchā.Im thinking of leaving the catholic church for the protestant, iv done a lot of thinking. We have statues of Jesus and saints that we pray to when we have issues. THERE IS EVEN ONE FOR BALDNESS!

Could you clarify āIāve become more spiritualā, in what way brother?I only answer 1/20 questons i feel are important. But since this unimportant queston come up so many times.
I am a born again catholic but not by choice. My family converted when i was 12, i didnt think much about it. In latter days iv become more spiritual and start to doubt the church im in.
I am sorry I didnāt know you were asked many times. Though you think it is not important, but it is. That way, we can have a better understanding why you think the way you think - that is just part of having a good discussion.I only answer 1/20 questons i feel are important. You arenāt getting the whole picture from the Bible. With all due respect, you need to read more than just the verses theyāre showing you. Like THIS one:CATHOLIC TRADITION - Call priests father, e.g., Father McKinley.
WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS -
Matthew 23:9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.
