Image I Captured: Divine Mercy or not? 9/11

I had taken this picture with my webcam from the window of my old apartment. It was the one year anniversary of 9/11 and they did a tribute to all of those who lost their lives called “Towers of Light”. For those of you who don’t know about this, these lights are high-powered light beams going up into the sky that were blue in color and can be seen for miles. Every year on 9/11 they continue this tribute.

I snapped the pic of the lights from my window and didn’t notice anything til’ after I had taken the pic and when I looked at the pic from my computer screen ** I was taken aback and felt the hairs on my arm go up…** I didn’t expect anything to show up. The first thought that came to my mind was the image of “Divine Mercy”. I cropped the image from all around so as to focus in on the image itself.

I have never posted this picture before and only 2 people in my family have seen it… I thought it was time to post it.

Perhaps no one else will think it looks like Jesus as he is seen in the ** “Divine Mercy”**, but, none the less you can see the image of a person in the pic.

Let me know what all of you think…

Wow was kind of how I felt when I first saw it Lexee 😉

I guess most who have looked at the pic don’t really think much of the pic or lump it together with the “Jesus being on a piece of toast” kind of nonsense.

I have been thinking of taking the pic to be looked at by a professional. On a computer monitor it is not as detailed as when I printed it out.

Anyways… whether this image is genuine or not does not take away from my faith.

Your wish is my command ** Lisa & Teresa **… 😃 Here is the pic in its original form. It is HUGE… I just wish my webcam that I took this pic with had better zoom quality, it makes it look like I live 100 miles away when in actuality I live right across the river from Manhattan.

I lived on the 11th floor in my old apartment so that is why I was able to snap the pic from so high up.

Thank you for providing the full picture.

Remarkable! Does anyone else see a cross in the light above in the top left hand corner? I see the outline of a Cross.

Perhaps you should hand this picture and it’s negative to someone who knows what they are doing within the Church to examine it properly. Ask your Diocesan office for help with finding who to hand it to.

Dear friend

For the want of anything better to do at the minute I zoomed in as close as I could without loosing quality and at the foot of that cross appears to be three figures, one looks like a man standing and one looks like the Mother Mary and one looks like Jesus in her arms on the floor. Take a look and see if you see what I see.

What an extraordinarily beautiful picture. God’s divine providence is with us all the time. It just goes to show us that he’s there, always, looking over us.:blessyou:

Yes Annunciata, if you look closer at the image that appears to be the Divine Mercy Image, you can see clearly to the left of Jesus a human face and you can see that He is surrounded by figures in a circle reaching up to Him.

I see here what you see.

Do you see the Cross above as I have shown in the red box in my link?

That’s where I see Jesus and people kneeling and a cross behind him… The picture above what appears to be The Divine Mercy…

Although I can see the figures of which you speak, I believe it to be just the light shining on the clouds. The human brain is very well designed to recognize both the human form and face, so when pictures like these are taken, it’s easy to see the human form, it kind of jumps out at us.

However, just because it may be just the lights striking the clouds, surely God knows that it would reflect the image it does to us. I’m not sure if that means anything, though.

Yes…that does make a lot of sense…In the grain of the wood on the door in my bathroom I can see the face of Christ…I know it’s the grain of the wood thought and in the pew in front of me in church there is a cross in the grain of the wood…I checked it out to see if anyone carved it and it was in the grain of the wood…

It’s still nice to think that Jesus is in that picture and that maybe all those people around him are those who were lost in 9/11…😉
