Jesus Suffering and Crucifixion from a Medical Point of View). If you’ve ever experienced any form of neuralgia, you’ll understand our Lord’s Mercy in allowing Stigmatists to have the Stigmata on the Palms of their Hands rather than on their wrists by the Medial Nerve of the Carpal Tunnel - Insults to that nerve can be compared to crucifixion itself. Holy Mother Church has not said the Shroud of Turin isn’t the burial cloth of our Lord Jesus - On the contrary, it has called it a good and pious devotion.
