I agree it is a bit on the virtual signaling side but do you really object to any statement it actually makes? Other than kindness being spelled wrong?

I think it’s a bit of a silly sign but I really don’t have any objection to it otherwise. But, I’m not catholic so maybe I’m missing something?

They misspelled “Kindness”. I hate when a school, that’s supposed to be teaching our children reading, writing, and 'rithmetic, puts up a misspelled sign.

Other than that, I’m not terribly bothered by it. If necessary I would explain to my children the Catholic interpretation of each of those statements.

It doesn’t say anything about pro-choice or abortion. I’m in favor of women’s rights to have an education, own property, vote, get good jobs, be paid equally to men, not be sexually harassed, basically live independent lives. I’ve always been in favor of women’s rights in that way. I live my own life that way.

I’m not in favor of anyone, man or woman, having the right to murder, and I believe the 50 percent of babies in the womb that are women have rights too. I also don’t think wearing a p-hat and marching around does anything practical for “Women’s Rights”.

It’s wrong to just assume “Pro-Choice” or “Abortion” every time you see “Women’s rights”.

Also where is statement affirming transgender rights? Whoever made those signs is clearly transphobic. A few savvy conservative parents could start a complaint and get those signs taken down and remade.

I’m not defined by what the world decides a term means.

Being an independent woman with rights also means rejecting the herd mentality when it doesn’t work for you…including when the herd is a bunch of other women.

I’ve never found “women’s groups” for work or anything else to be too much help because they tend to treat women like we all have the same personalities or concerns. We don’t. 90 percent of the time I had almost nothing in common with the other women.

I think they are politicising the school. Do you think this sign would have been allowed if it read in the first line , “All Lives Matter”? Why would they need to clarify that “Women’s Rights are Human Rights”? Why would an elementary school child be concerned with “No human is Illegal”; do they even think children have any idea what this statement means?

And why “Science is real” why not “Math is real” ?

Put it on your private lawn where most of these signs are but not at the public school.

It is a violation of human rights when babies are denied food, or drowned, or suffocated, or their spines broken, simply because they are born girls.

It is a violation of human rights when women and girls are sold into the slavery of prostitution.

It is a violation of human rights when women are doused with gasoline, set on fire, and burned to death because their marriage dowries are deemed too small.

It is a violation of human rights when individual women are raped in their own communities and when thousands of women are subjected to rape as a tactic or prize of war.

It is a violation of human rights when a leading cause of death worldwide among women ages 14 to 44 is the violence they are subjected to in their own homes.

It is a violation of human rights when young girls are brutalized by the painful and degrading practice of genital mutilation.

It is a violation of human rights when women are denied the right to plan their own families, and that includes being forced to have abortions or being sterilized against their will.

If there is one message that echoes forth from this conference, it is that human rights are women’s rights. And women’s rights are human rights.

Cancer is a disease that attacks everyone. “All Lives Matter” would never be allowed at a school anywhere but they all do matter
