Imagine rolling up to your kids elementary class and being greeted by this

That is really interesting. I like the Orthodox Jewish community and have a great deal of respect for their faith but do not quite get their level of inclusiveness, by that I mean all Jewish people are included in their faith no matter what they believe. I can see the connection between the Orthodox Jewish Community and the Catholic Community.

I have been told that Jewish people do not like Catholics but then I’ve had others on here who practice, the Jewish faith tell me that is not true.so I will take that as truth.

Again thanks for your response.

Oh, I’m sure I could find a Catholic hater in my family tree but it would be very unusual. A few might admit to not liking Christianity in general but honestly, most Jews are pretty much like everyone else…they judge the person, not the religion they practice.

The more isolationist the religion…any religion…the more they tend to have haters of outsiders. Even then, I wouldn’t call it common. Hasidic Jews are very isolationist and there’s probably more Jews that dislike Hasidism tha dislike Christians. We weren’t isolationists at all. We had friends from many different communities and faiths. Actually, most jews don’t think about other faiths much at all. They’re too busy living their lives like everyone else is. It’s enough to keep themselves grounded in their own faith to worry about what others are thinking or doing.

Jews have learned where hating other religions leads to. After all, they learned the lessons of Hitler very well. They don’t hate Germans, either though you could find one or two that do. Most of the Jews knows where hatred goes and just like Christians, know that love is the better solution. Thanks for the questions…always glad to answer them! ❤️

And one day you’ll answer the questions as a Catholic. I have Faith in Jesus, Patty. You will one day.

I really like the Hasidic Jews as they seem to stand for something. They practice their faith so well and seem so devoted to their beliefs.I will have to do some reading on this forum on the Jewish faith.

They have some very beautiful expressions of their faith, but, they tend towards fundamentalism and the problems that can bring to the table. Most are kind, loving and good citizens just as fundamentalist Christians often are. They absolutely love God and enjoy obeying his commandments. They tend towards not accepting outsiders though just as some fundamentalists do, too. They are very interesting to study! Family values and in group support is excellent. Leaving the group, however is difficult, even dangerous at times. They don’t take leaving lightly! They also don’t intermingle with other Jews…as I said, very isolationist! Even I have questions about them that I can’t find answers to. :hugs:

“Woman’s rights” is liberal code for abortion, so ya I do disagree with that.

black lives matter is a Marxist group and at this point has become about black supremacy, so I disagree with that too.

“No human is illegal” seeks to encroach on our country’s sovereignty and undermine rule of law, so that too is objectionable.

. . .

“Love is love” is pro LGBT. . . .

The one thing that isn’t subliminal propaganda is the last line and that is spelled wrong.

Yes, I now understand that you read all of that into it. I don’t. Personally, I think that is reading way more into it than what it says.

(I will add one small note and won’t discuss this further as many don’t agree…BLM is not really one single organization. One Marxist group hijacked onto BLM and they don’t represent the entire organization though they’d like you to think so. If you asked 100 BLM supporters if they agree with Marxism, 99 would think you’re nuts!)

Is anyone really surprised?

I feel that part of the point is having people think it’s no big deal. Then it all just becomes normal.

Those of us who know, yes know, what it all means are thought of as wackos and extreme. The handful of posters on here defending it also know, yes know, exactly the point the sticker is trying to make. To argue anything else is disingenuous.

Yes that is despite the global science community working with WHO, deeming Covid an extremely serious global threat in late January. There was never any doubt about Covids deadly potential then and still isn’t.
There was plenty of it in the US. Not least from the CDC of all agencies. I’ll give credit they made a 180 turn but it was too late.

But still there are the deniers who say its fake science and fake news.
And spouting a slogan is going to magically bring them to acknowledge the truth?
In any event, that vacuous slogan was manufactured a few years before this pandemic. The circumstances that prompted them to come up with had nothing to do with disease. All of the above slogans aren’t about genuine empathy. Rather it’s about virtue signalling and enforcing a political partisan line. The person who decided to post that sign had in mind telling children what to think rather than teaching them how to think.

I believe that science is real and I also believe that God exists.

Creation and evolution are completely compatible. Creation came first, otherwise, there would be nothing to evolve.

That’s an awfully cute collection of bumper-sticker gobbledygook.

My fave is the “science is real” one.
So many Americans are woefully scientifically illiterate, but then be all like “I think (fill in the blank) because…science!”

I agree

I also agree with women’s rights which means not only women who have already been born but women who are yet to be born have the right to life. Abortion has claimed the lives of unborn women because of sex selection through the use of abortion.

I agree that all lives matter and that includes black lives

I agree that no human is illegal but a human can do illegal things

Science is real but that doesn’t mean God is fictional

Love is love but marriage takes a man and a woman

Kindness does matter

so a school can’t express what it thinks and shouldn’t post anything that is controversial.
