There’s no deal (yet), but Massachusetts Sen. Edward M. Kennedy’s staff released details of the big-ticket items that they said have been settled. They warned that the details could change, but it gives an idea of where this super, double-secret group is heading with the bill.

Also keep this in mind: When reporters showed the document to Texas Sen. John Cornyn, one of the Republicans’ chief negotiators, he said: “I haven’t agreed to anything yet.”

BIPARTISAN GROUP OF SENATORS REACHES A DEAL ON IMMIGRATION THAT WOULD GRANT

I understand that many Republican Senators looked at the bill
proposed (today) and found that it did not contain the details
that they had been told, that that was why the bill was postponed
till Monday. Contact your senator and representative about your
stand on this issue. It’s very important. I get a lot of info on this
from immigrationinfo@numbersusa.com. I don’t know how to
make this a link, sorry.

I think this is the website you were referring to.
numbersusa.com/index

However, I wouldn’t go there for accurate information. If you want to know what is really happening, minute by minute, in congress, go to a site like:
politico.com
or
thehill.com
or
nationalreview.com/%between%

Thanks for the information on the other sources. When I have the
time,I have used a couple of them already. Today I was calling
my senators based on the email I received from them and it was
very handy. Here in El Paso are problems are huge and I’m pray-
ing we come to a good solution. I have friends whose property
is very close to the border and they sometimes wake up to a huge
mess along the edge of their property. They also get broken into,
and occasionally find strangers on their land destroying or stealing. Nothing is ever done to the lawbreakers, so they’re usually back in no time.
And these are the least of the problems
Teresa.
