Thank you De Maria for your description of mystery & myth. It was pretty much what I thought also.
You’re welcome. Thanks for the kind words.Thank you De Maria for your description of mystery & myth. It was pretty much what I thought also.
very good point De Maria. Now let us look at Islam, is it a myth or a mystery that Mohammed saw an angel?
It would appear to be a myth based on fiction since no evidence exists to support the idea.
A real follower of Jesus does not accept Muhammad, Islam or the Quran! Period! If being Christian means to follow the ways of Jesus (pbuh), then Muslims are undoubtedly the best Christians in the world.

Circumcision
if you think that Jesus came to teach the Law, without changing anything, without establishing a New Covenant, without bringing Jews and gentiles to God REGARDLESS of Jewish rituals to non-Jews, then why don’t you circumcize the males at the 8 day as per the Law? why are you breaking it? you either take it all, or nothing…picking and choosing is exactly what Jesus criticizes.Muslims follow the way of Jesus (pbuh) and have their male children circumcised at an early age.
Pork
He did not eat camel as well as per the Law. Why do you eat camels?Jesus did not eat pork.
according to Quran, it was only with Muhammad that alcohol was prohibited because, before this “revelation”, Muhammad and his companions used to drink, and it took the author of Quran 4 ayas to prohibit it…if it were prohibited before, then why it took 4 ayas, in which mentioning the benefits of alcohol, before finally prohibiting it?Alcohol
:twocents: I guess there may be some truth in that for some muslims; I mean, the “way of Jesus” - I think - is redemptive suffering. All that other non-sense in your link regarding alcohol, pork, circumcision, etc is just wasteful reading. If being Christian means to follow the ways of Jesus (pbuh), then Muslims are undoubtedly the best Christians in the world.

Islam is a strictly monotheistic religion. It believes in and adheres to uncompromising monotheism. It believes that God is one, and unique in His attributes.hamba2han:
Who is the “We” in your signatory line?
Is Islam a pantheology? Mulitple gods and genii?
Please enlighten
Robert
Muslims do not believe Muhammad is the only perfect person. All prophets are seen as living sinless lives, including Isa al-Masih (Jesus) and Miriam (Mary). Some do not consider him the greatest, but he is one of the greatest along with Isa and Musa (Moses).Whether someone should imitate Mohammed depends on the person and to what extent. Muslims would obviously want to imitate Mohammed in every way, as they revere him as the greatest prophet and the only perfect human being.
Personally, I think there are better people out there to imitate than a man who inspired hate and bloodshed in his own lifetime and continue to do so through the religion he founded and the holy book he wrote.
the queen of England lived after Muhammad. In the English language, the Queen of England refers to herself as ‘We’ instead of ‘I’. This is known as the ‘royal plural’ and it is meant as a sign of respect
ah i see your point…but you see, even Jesus got angry at false teachings and wicked menI would not compromise on enything accept imitating Jesus…These are your words yes? And the other thing is the way you talk about Mohammed… not a lot of info about him but a lot of anger.Lol. Being religious I understand means forgiving and representing God on the best possible way. I got to remind you that 1.8 Billion Ppl on the world believe on Mohhamed. If I had ur nick wich I repect a lot btw I would be more considerative of other ppl. Lol. Right?
I think InJesus have been very rational and resourceful here.Hi,
I read some of the replyes here… and I got to tell you guys, both you InJesus and Hamba2ha have extreme visions of religion.
Are you serious? Why would anyone want to imitate an illiterate murdering paedephile? In Christianity we obviously try to immitae Christ. However, immitate is not quite the right word. We don’t want to immitate Coca Cola but want it to be just as good.
I think it is very safe to say that “immitating” Christ is the best we could ever hope for in all that we do.
Should we try to immitate Mohhamed or is this something that should be avoided? (This has nothing to do with the Koran nor its circle reasoning and thus should really only concern Mohhamed himself)
You Sir are a man of reason and a teacher. I respect and admire your views.
oh that is sweet thank you
I cannot believe that more than the half of the world living today is going to hell ,as I believe that god is most forgiving and mercyfull.
