How does the Catholic Church focus on the work of Jesus?

Putting together the Bible might be one of focuses
Elevating Jesus through traditions such as an altar
Obeying Jesus’ commands such as forgiving, protecting His Church, the Eucharist, loving His Mother as much as He loved her, Through Tradition, the Church has so many more ways that She focuses on Jesus

How does the Catholic Church focus on the faith of Her people?

Teaching Her people the Words of the Bible
By giving Her people extra graces to grow in faith through the Sacraments… especially the Sacrament of the Eucharist and the Sacrament of Reconciliation

It’s such a pity that protestants were led astray, losing the beauty of worshiping God directly, such as they worshipped in the beginning. You see, the Church feeds His sheep well, some may not want to eat, but the food is there for them. So much was lost when the sheep strayed.

We as Catholic have private worship such as praying directly to Jesus plus all the extras that were there from the beginning.

I understand protestantism as a step toward the Full Truth. It’s a simplified version of truth that has so much potential if only the sheep would take the steps in the right direction.

Not all christians can eat the strong meat of Catholicism, which is OK, as long as there are Catholics here praying and fasting for them in the hopes that they can come enjoy the full banquet some day.

Of course Protestants and no one else would know of Jesus Christ and of scripture without the Church.

The Old Testament church came before the Catholic Church. And we all know the Apostles and Jesus quoted the Old Testament Scriptures which did not come from the Catholic Church. The Old Testament Scriptures pointed to Jesus Christ to find life according to Jesus

Teach me why the Catholic Faith has a higher view of the person and work of Christ than historic Protestant theology. Protestants believe we are eternally justified by the perfect righteousness of Christ received upon initial faith in Him. His righteousness is imputed to our account upon conversion.

As sinners saved by grace alone by the merit of Christ alone, we are united in Him as adopted children of God. Our views as Catholics or Protestants are just views and theological distincitves and positions, trying to know and understand our Triune God better. Being Catholic or Protestant is not the ultimate reason we know God or are known by God as His redeemed ones.

I don’t believe our differences as Catholics and Protestants are unimportant. While we agree on much, There are some crucial points on which we are separated. These must not be glossed over.

First of all, Christianity is a sacramental faith. You become a Christian through baptism and that provides the necessary graces to be saved. (John 3 and Acts 2) and according to John 6, you must eat Jesus’ body and drink his blood to be saved. Priests are annointed by the laying on of hands of the bishops and they and only they can here confessions and absolve sin and they allone can turn the bread and win into the body and blood of Christ. You have separated yourself from this and hence have imperiled your salvation. This can not be glossed over and made unimportant because it is crucial.

Second, to be saved you must FOLLOW Christ, doing his will, loving God and neighbor and avoiding sin. If you do sin, you must be reconciled sacramentally. If you believe that faith is all that is required, you are deceiving yourself. Faith without works are dead. (James 2). We will be judged by our actions (Matthew 25, Romans 2). This also must not be glossed over.

I agree that it is important to recognize where we have common beliefs because that gives us something to build on. But to separate yourself from the full truth and then try to pull people to your point of view, which is insufficient for salvation, is just wrong…

Protestantism is a negative word, protestantism survives on being negative, “I will not.serve” Catholic means universal.

Historic Protestant theology is better… IMO because it is closer to the truth in regards to why we are able to approach God as Christians.

You claim Historic Christianity and yet you seem reluctant to witness to where you are really coming from, you tell us you are interested in Catholic theology but you are being very close and secret about your own,

All Christians understand that we are to follow Jesus Christ, and do the will of God, loving God with all of our heart, soul, strength, and mind… and love our neighbor as ourselves, and to not sin. However, in this body will don’t do this perfectly. So, in Catholic Theology, what happens to Christians who are not able to follow Christ all the time, not able to do His will all the time, and not love God perfectly, not love our neighbor as ourselves all the time, and sin? God still requires perfection and sinlessness to be able to have God as our Father.
