Well, I can agree to it. But the Democrats have tried for 2 1/2 years to make it one.
What makes this partisan is the shocking indifference of the Republicans, led by McConnell, to protecting our nation.

Both parties have been complacent for decades because both parties seek opposition research. People are acting like this is somehow new. It isn’t.

No. What happened in 2016 with cyber interference is unlike past decades.
I recently had a conversation with Sen Bob Kerry who expressed shock at what he learned in briefings.
The problem is that Republican leadership is not responding to cyber threats for partisan advantage.

The role of social media is increasing, so manipulation is an increasing risk.
But that is different than cyber security, something all organizations have been woke to since they got networks. There was no excuse for the DNC getting hacked, they saw it real time and should have shut it down. Hillary’s excuse is not following protocol, which is not systemic in Govt.

Care to expand on what Sen Kerry was indicating? Your last sentence may need editing.

Unprecedented massive attack both in social media propaganda and in cyber security attacks by the Russian government
The Russian trolling was narry a blip. As I recall, they spent $100k on ads vs the >$2 Billion spent by other US influencers.

The Democrat media spends billions giving free political advertising to the Dem party, and they do it 24/7/365.

24/7 is a gross exaggeration, and the republicans are spending just as much. However, both the democrats and the republicans are amateurs, while the Russians are professionals in spreading disinformation.

President Trump raised 25 milllion dollars in 24 hours towards his re-election campaign! 🙌
His rally last night was terrific

And I am not aware of even ONE new convert to trumpism. 🙂 Sure his base is rock solid, but fortunately it does not grow. The elections are never decided by the entrenched supporters, they are decided by the swing voters. So we can hope that the 40% will lose. We had enough of the Trump nightmare, time to start Biden nightmare. And maybe in a few hundred years we can have a qualified president, instead of some demagogue. Right now all of those qualified people are busy cutting hair, and balancing their budget. 😉

The usual media spin from the usual suspects🙄Did you even bother to watch I saw the massive crowds. To that point, why would anybody want to stop the positive momentum of the Trump presidency?
Do any of you honestly believe any of the dem candidates are willing or even able to keep the greatness going. You would have to be a real downer to want this positivity to end.😱

We haven’t seen the intel. But the impression by one who is does not think that is ti properly discounted as a blip. But is unprecedented in scope and methods.

All the networks run 24/7, it’s hardly an exaggeration. It’s free advertising for both parties though most would agree coverage shifts between positive and negative advertising depending upon the candidate and the network.
However, both the democrats and the republicans are amateurs, while the Russians are professionals in spreading disinformation.
IS this a joke? Both parties have highly paid professionals doing their advertising and PR work, with combined budgets in the billions. The russian troll farm was extremely amateur in their efforts and budget.

While the Obama administration did virtually nothing, except of course spy on the opposing party’ Campaign.

If they something, that’s more than the Democrats have done.
You can try to make this a partisan thing or a bipartisan thing. If you choose partisan, there is far more blame at the feet of Obama and the Democrats.

Perhaps the biggest contributors, collectively, was the all out attack on Trump in favor of Clinton by the MSM.
By comparison, Russian influence was almost nonexistent.

Not every network spouts propaganda 24/7.

You can throw money to them, that will not make them experts.

But their combined result was sufficient to influence the electorate into supporting Trump. It is true that Comey’s reopening the investigation into Hillary’s affairs right before the election was also a significant contribution.

What evidence do you have? Have there been surveys where people who didn’t support Trump acknowledge they changed their mind after they saw a Russian ad on FB?

The reelection will hinge upon one question.
Are you better off now then you were 4 years ago?

And just as was the case in 84, the majority are.

Lighten up. Yes, the Democrat media is not bashing Trump 24/7/365. It only seems so if one does not hate Trump.

The Repubs have only one TV media outlet I know of; Fox News. I will agree that the Russians outdid both in the last two and a half years. They got the whole country’s attention fixed on a bogus “Russian collusion”, and got the country to spend $35 million in tax dollars and no telling how much congressional time and other peoples’ time by feeding disinformation to the DNC/Clinton campaign through Steele’s “dossier”. They really did do a number on the country with that, and not many realize to this day that it was a Russian disinformation measure. The New York Times, though, did figure it out fairly recently.
